Borcacst Island

Boracay island is determined to bounce back. On October 1, 2020, the island reopened to tourists from all over the country, albeit with strict protocols. Hotels are also offering promo rates to entice travelers to revisit their white sands and blue waters. Boracay opened only to Western Visayas residents starting on June 16, 2020 with a strict age restriction, where visitors below 21 or older than 60 were prohibited from entering the island. On July 23, 2020, the Department of Tourism’s request to lift the age restriction was approved by the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force. It wasn’t until October 2020 that people from all over the country were allowed on the island. #urbanexplorer #summervacation #summervacation#beachvacation#hikingtrails#hotelstay#urbanexplorer

Boracay Islands

Boracay is back! Well, it didn’t really leave. It was just closed to visitors for six months in 2018, which sparked countless debates. The good news is, it has been reopened to tourists! There have been some changes and new policies, so we’re publishing a brand new BORACAY TRAVEL GUIDE with sample itinerary to help you plan your trip. If you’ve been to the island prior to closure, this guide can also serve as your short refresher. UNDERSTANDING BORACAY Any conversation about the Philippines as a tourist destination isn’t complete without a mention of Boracay. It is, after all, the country’s most well-known beach attraction, topping various publications’ lists of best islands in Asia and in the world. Here are more bits about Boracay. Location: Boracay is within the municipality of Malay, province of Aklan in the Philippines. Mainland Aklan is part of Panay Island. Languages: Aklanon and Ati are the native languages. But locals, especially those working in the tourism industry, can fluently speak and understand Tagalog and English. Currency: Philippine peso (PHP, ₱). PHP100 is around USD 1.90, EUR 1.69, SGD 2.57 (as of May 2019). #urbanexplorer #maydaytrip

Value For Money Hotel in Boracay 🇵🇭🏖

#timetotravel The hotel is beachfront so if you want to wake up in the morning and just roll out of bed to the ocean then Residencia Boracay hotel is a great option for you. It is good for families and couples who want to have a comfortable and spacious hotel room. Our experience in this hotel was excellent. The front desk and the dining staff are so accommodating and friendly. We always had friendly small chats with them during breakfast. We also appreciate how understanding the management. We moved our arrival days after our supposedly stay with them due to the typhoon but they were kind enough to hold the room for us. Address: Station 1, Pinaungon, Boracay Enjoy! #hotelstay #hotel #boracay #philippines

A serene refreshing escape from Boracay

A serene refreshing escape from Boracay

Our trip was a bit of hassle on its first day since it was rainy, but the succeeding days were perfect. We had a couple of activities like island hopping and helmet diving. Also, please know that there are people who will offer pre-arranged fees and transfers for a higher price. This can be safe but if you are on a budget like us, Do-It-Yourself commute is also convenient. Boracay has a lot to offer. If you’re on a budget or you want luxurious experience, this place has got you covered! With that being said, there are a lot of food options, you can score a Php 295 lunch buffet, and B1T1 drinks for only Php 170z

Real Coffee & Tea Cafe

Real Coffee & Tea Cafe

The popular Calamansi muffin made this a 'go-to' place for people who kept coming back to Boracay. If you don't look closely, you might miss the narrow entrance of the place but view from their second floor dining area is great, specially if you're seated at the high table and chairs fronting the beach. The walls and tables are lined with snapshots of famous and 'nobodies' who visited the place. Muffin is best paired with their mango shake. Muffin costs P80 pesos each (inflation), it was still moist, buttery and 'siksik'. They also serve coffee, sandwiches, salads, etc. #boracaytrip
