Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Siem Reap, world-famous for Angkor Wat, invites you to step into a mysterious pottery class, explore the treasures of Khmer pottery in the afterglow of history, and start a cultural tracing at your fingertips.

Class content is elegant: Classes usually start at 3 hours and focus on traditional Khmer pottery. Using local clay, hand-molding and carving Angkor architectural patterns, the works exude an ancient and mysterious atmosphere and tell a thousand-year story. Students personally create multiple pieces of Siem Reap-style pottery in one class, and take the works away after graduation to continue their artistic sentiments.

Small class size and strong teacher background: The class size is small, which makes it easier for teachers to focus on guidance. Students exchange their experiences of exploring Angkor, and the atmosphere is harmonious, which inspires creative inspiration. Most of the potters who teach the class are inherited from their families and are well versed in Khmer pottery techniques. They will tell the history while making, and will provide detailed guidance throughout the process to ensure that students can accurately restore traditional crafts.

Flexible courses,Suitable facilities and equipment: The course time is flexibly arranged to adapt to the tourists' itinerary. The venue is usually close to the ancient monuments, and the open-air workshops are integrated into nature, accompanied by the Angkor legend, adding a magical color to the pottery creation. The pottery tools are primitive and simple, and everyone has his own production table. The wood kiln follows the ancient regulations, and the firing is slow but gives a unique texture. There are also electric kilns available, which balance the timeliness and are more efficient. Generally, the pottery can be taken away the next day.

Siem Reap is famous for its long tradition of handicrafts. Not only is it home to Angkor Wat, it is also one of the birthplaces of ancient pottery techniques. Experience a pottery course in Siem Reap and you will experience the true beauty of Cambodian art and make local pottery with your own hands.

Cambodia Plans Visa-Free Entry for Chinese Tourists by 2025

Cambodia Plans Visa-Free Entry for Chinese Tourists by 2025

Cambodia is considering offering visa-free entry to tourists from mainland China and Hong Kong, with details still being finalized. The announcement is expected in early 2025. If successful, Cambodia will join neighboring countries like Singapore and Thailand, which have already introduced visa-free policies for Chinese tourists earlier this year. Currently, holders of diplomatic and official passports from China and Cambodia can enter each other's countries without a visa for up to 30 days. However, tourists with regular Chinese passports need to apply for a visa before entering Cambodia. There are several ways to obtain a Cambodian visa: 1. Visa on Arrival: Tourists can apply for a visa at airports and land borders. A 30-day tourist visa costs $30, while a business visa that can be extended costs $35. 2. Consulate Visa: Chinese citizens can apply for a single-entry, 3-month valid, 30-day stay tourist or regular visa at Cambodian consulates in China. They can also apply for 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year multiple-entry tourist or regular visas. 3. E-Visa: An e-visa can be applied for through Cambodia's official website, costing $36 for a tourist visa and $42 for a business visa. It is valid for 90 days from the approval date, allowing a 30-day stay upon entry. Cambodia is also upgrading and streamlining its visa process to make entry smoother for tourists. The traditional paper entry card is being phased out in favor of a new electronic entry card that integrates with the e-visa. Stay tuned for a detailed application guide in the next post! #OutboundTravel #InternationalTravel #VisaFree #Cambodia #AngkorWat #SiemReap

Sunrise at a World Heritage Site! Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

When it comes to World Heritage Sites in Cambodia, Angkor Wat is the name that comes to mind🇰🇭 Known as the world's largest Buddhist temple, it was built in the first half of the 12th century📝 In Khmer, Angkor Wat means 'City Temple', and it took about 30 years to construct! This time, I got up early to see the sunrise from Angkor Wat☀️ In front of the Angkor Wat buildings, there's a lotus pond, and you can enjoy the reflection as well🪞 While midday is nice, the sunrise at Angkor Wat was absolutely beautiful!

Angkor Wat : Timeless elegance

Angkor Wat : Timeless elegance

Walking through Angkor Wat, I was overwhelmed by a profound sense of awe and wonder. The ancient stones seemed to whisper stories of a bygone era, and I couldn't help but feel a deep connection to the history and culture of Cambodia. Standing in front of the intricate carvings and towering spires, I was struck by the craftsmanship and dedication that went into building this masterpiece. As I explored further, each corner revealed new wonders and mysteries, from hidden chambers to elaborate bas-reliefs depicting scenes of myth and legend. At times, I found myself lost in thought, imagining the lives of the people who once thrived in this majestic city. The sheer scale of Angkor Wat left me humbled and inspired, reminding me of the resilience and creativity of humanity throughout history. Witnessing the sunrise over the temple was a spiritual experience, as the golden light illuminated the ancient stones and brought them to life. Leaving Angkor Wat, I carried with me not just memories of its beauty, but a profound sense of reverence for its enduring legacy. It was more than a visit; it was a journey through time and emotion that touched me deeply.

Angkor Wat Compley 163 Hectar

#fallingforfall Getting there- We took the 12 overnight bus from Sihanoukville to Siem Reap after spending an amazing time on Koh Rong Sanloem. In Siem Reap there are many beautiful guesthouses hostels and homestays. We decided to rent a motorcycle and live outside the busy area in a Great guesthouse called Sihariddh Angkor Villa. From there it takes only 10-15 minutes to the entrance of the Angkor Wat Complex. The Angkor Wat Complex inhabits more than 400 temples and is the biggest religious temple complex in the world stretching over 163 hectares. Spending 2 days from morning to evening is enough time i would say

A Chapter of Angkor Creation: Two Stories

A Chapter of Angkor Creation: Two Stories

#voyagevibes For many people, Cambodia is associated primarily with Angkor Wat, which they know is a large ancient temple complex that includes smaller temples, such as the temple where the Lara Croft movie was filmed, or the temple with faces. All of them are located right in the jungle and represent somewhere restored, somewhere abandoned ruins. Actually, it's not quite like that. Angkor Wat is a temple complex, one of the largest in the world. The complex is located on the territory of the city of Angkor (without Wat), like many other temples. Including the Bayon Temple, or the temple with faces. The Angkor Wat temple itself is so impressive in its size, and previously shone with luxurious decoration, that it is not surprising that its appearance was associated with higher forces, namely, with the will of the god Indra. Mythological version Once upon a time, a ruler had a son named Preah Ket Mealea, whose name means Divine Radiance. The young man received it because he was of amazing beauty and, moreover, possessed a wonderful character and many spiritual perfections. And the god Indra, the ruler of the heavenly kingdom, decided to call such a perfect young man to himself. The heavenly castle, which the prince got into, he liked incredibly. The castle consisted of five tall towers decorated with many iridescent precious stones. The interior was also striking in its beauty. The furniture was made of gold and silver, the walls were draped with expensive fabrics. Pleasant music was playing, graceful girls were dancing around. Everything would be fine. But the young man was a living person, and his human smell greatly irritated the celestial inhabitants. He made me think about earthly life and its temptations. The smell especially affected the celestial dancers – apsaras. Therefore, the god Indra had to bring the prince back to earth. And so that he would not be offended, he ordered his heavenly architect to erect a palace on earth the same as in heaven. Historical Version In fact, the temple was built during the reign of Emperor Suryavarman II, who lived at the turn of the XI and XII centuries. His subjects revered him as the incarnation of the god Vishnu on earth. And then the emperor decided to build a temple dedicated to Vishnu. It became Angkor Wat - the earthly home of the emperor and his tomb. The construction lasted for about 40 years, and the temple was almost completed, but after the death of the emperor, work on the temple was stopped. Therefore, in some places, the decoration of the facades has not been completed. The temple was built of black and gray sandstone, which was quarried at quarries located 40 km from the construction site and delivered along the Siem Reap River. It is estimated that the construction took about 5 million tons of stone. No mortar was used to fasten the stone blocks. The stone blocks were tightly fitted to each other, so they are held only by the gravity of their own weight - it remains to be surprised at the skills of Khmer architects and builders.

Angkor Wat is truly one of the seven wonders of the world❗️ Cambodia is also a hidden gem for reverse travel! . I was hesitant to post a guide until the situation in Thailand was resolved, but I believe that netizens are capable of independent thinking. So I will update the relevant guides and experiences as soon as possible. Today, I will summarize 9️⃣ practical tips, and you are welcome to add more👇 - 1️⃣Visa on arrival is very convenient Cambodia supports e-visas and visas on arrival, the latter costs $30 and is cheaper. Cambodia Siem Reap | Angkor Wat, a must-visit in this lifetime ||| 🇰🇭

Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia, is famous for its magnificent architecture and detailed reliefs. It is the heart and soul of Cambodia, the birthplace of Khmer civilization and the source of national pride. Angkor Wat is the largest temple in the world and one of the seven wonders of the world. There are more than 600 monuments of various sizes scattered here. Generally, it is recommended to go to Angkor Wat for three days, including the small circle, the big circle, and the outer circle, which fully covers the most important points in the Angkor monuments. . 【Three-day itinerary】 ❶Small circle Angkor Thom - Bayon Temple - Bafang Temple - Idol Terrace - Sky Palace - War Elephant Steps - Lai King Steps - Tomanon Temple - Zhousa Temple - Tea Rubber Temple - Ta Prohm Temple - Bakken Mountain ❷ big circle Little Angkor - Holy Sword Temple - Taxun Temple - Longpan Pool - Dongmeiben Temple - Royal Baths - Biri Temple ❸ Outer ring Roluos Group - Queen's Palace - Beng Mealie . 📸 Some of my favorite spots 1⃣️Little Angkor: The best place to watch the sunrise is the best preserved temple building in the entire Angkor ruins. 2⃣️Bayon Temple: What is hidden in the Khmer smile? You have to be there to experience it. 3⃣️Tablon Temple: It is the temple built by Jayavarman VII to commemorate his mother, and it is also the filming location of "Tomb Raider". 4⃣️Bakken Mountain: The best place to watch the sunset. The sunset in Bakken Mountain is limited to people. It is recommended to go there early. 5⃣️Queen's Palace: Famous for its gorgeous colors and exquisite reliefs, it is the "Pearl of Angkor Monuments" and "Diamond of Angkor Art". 6⃣️Beng Mi Lie: The dilapidated beauty, if you want to have a mysterious jungle adventure, Beng Mi Lie can definitely satisfy all your fantasies about the secrets of the jungle. . ⚠️The Angkor Wat monuments are really too big. If you follow the mature route from morning to evening, it will be very tiring. You can freely match the attractions according to your own time to have fun~ . 🚗 traffic Angkor Wat is about 6 kilometers away from the city of Siem Reap. The flight and accommodation are in Siem Reap, and you can charter a car to Angkor Wat. The scenic spots in the small circle and the big circle are close, so tutu cars are recommended, and the outer circle is farther away, and it is recommended to pack a car. 🎫 Fares Angkor Wat tickets are divided into 1-day ticket ($37), 3-day ticket ($62) and 7-day ticket ($72) Beng Mi Lie needs to buy a ticket separately: 5 US dollars ☁️ Climate and dress code Cambodia has a tropical climate, with a rainy season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. Angkor Wat temples are not allowed to wear short skirts, vests or umbrellas. Some temples have steep stairs and occasionally need to climb. Clothes should be as comfortable as possible. The UV rays are strong, so bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat to avoid sunburn.

Exploring Angkor Wat at Night: The Deserted Ta Prohm Temple

Exploring Angkor Wat at Night: The Deserted Ta Prohm Temple

After visiting Banteay Srei, my next stop was Ta Prohm Temple. Although it was already 5:30 PM, the closing time for the site, I wanted to catch the sunset. However, a sudden downpour trapped us at the ruins after dark. With no other visitors around, the temple was eerily dark. This was a side of Angkor Wat that most tourists never see. The rain continued to leak through the temple, and in the darkness, it was hard to read the signs. We might have wandered into restricted areas of the site. The roofs were home to colonies of bats, and the stone walls were intertwined with the roots of massive trees. Despite the late hour, the experience was awe-inspiring. The temple was vast and pitch-black, with no lights or signs, and we got lost in several halls while it continued to rain heavily. We almost got lost but eventually found our way out using a compass. #AngkorWat #SiemReap #Cambodia #SoutheastAsiaAdventure
