Taiwan Yummy Street Food

I really like onion pancakes in Taiwan. It's savory and sweet, full of nice flavour. In the morning, I had Fan Tuan (Giant Rice Ball), inside there was crispy You Tiao, meat, pork floss, preserved vegetables and more, so tasty. Other than that, I also recommend porridge, cheesy mashed potato and Da Bing Bao Xiao Bing (Small Pancake in Big Pancake). These are some of my favourite street food in Taipei. #tripblazers #taipei

A-Tsai Vegetable Lamb Hot Pot
10月好去處2024

A-Tsai Vegetable Lamb Hot Pot

Among the various vegetable lamb hot pots in Taipei, A-Tsai definitely stands out. Just look at those enticing red and white lamb slices! Today, we chose choy sum as the base for the broth, and later added some mustard greens for extra flavor. The lamb with skin pairs perfectly with the choy sum, creating a fresh and non-greasy broth that's truly delicious. The lamb with skin needs to be simmered in the pot for a while to become tender. I only blanch the fresh lamb slices until they turn pink, about 80% cooked, then take them out. At this point, the lamb is especially tender. A slight dip in fermented tofu sauce enhances the flavor. The tender fibers combined with the fresh and sweet meat juices make this lamb simply irresistible. Address: No. 58, Section 1, Chang'an East Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan, China

Fuhua Business Travel | An economical hotel with a homestay style in the center of Taipei City

Fuhua Business Travel | An economical hotel with a homestay style in the center of Taipei City

【Hotel Guide】 Taipei Fuhua Business Travel-Dunbei Pavilion is located in the mirror of the city center of Taipei·China Taiwan. There are 7-11, Watsons, etc. as soon as you walk out of the alley, which is very convenient. It is very convenient to Songshan Airport, famous attractions such as Xingtian Temple, Liaoning Night Market, Breeze Plaza, and SOGO Department Store. It is a good choice for business trips and self-guided tours. 【Transportation Guide】 The location (hotel name) is less than 5 minutes walk from Taipei (Nanjing Fuxing MRT Station), and it is very close to SOGO Department Store by taking one MRT station, and it is also very close to Songshan Airport, the location is very convenient. 【Hotel Environment】 The exterior of the hotel is very simple, the lobby area is not large, maintaining the tone seen from the outside, the overall is a warm homestay style, but it feels more managed and cleaner than a homestay. 【Room Environment】 The guest room I stayed in this time has a balcony and the lighting is very good. The room is very small, there is a small table, but overall it is clean. One drawback is that there is a carpet, so I was a bit allergic these days. To be honest, the bathroom is too small, there is no separation of wet and dry, if you mind, you may need to pay attention to this point. Another point to note is that the hotel air conditioning only has cooling function, no heating, people who are afraid of cold need to pay attention. 【Restaurant Environment】 The restaurant is located on the basement level, the area is not large, there are very few dishes, there is not much choice, you can't ask too much. 【Hotel Facilities】 The hotel has a gym on the top floor, the opening hours are from 10 am to 10 pm, it is not big but there are treadmills, bicycles and dumbbells, which is enough for maintaining exercise during the journey. At the same time, there are massage chairs outside the gym, a laundry room next to it, and a large terrace.

Italian food

Italian food

I briefly mentioned in the food diary of the petition that Italian fine dining faced the strong shadow of French cuisine forms, appearances and techniques, how to deconstruct traditional Italian dishes, balance between the straightforward and full and delicate stacking that we are used to, and get out of the The unique style and appearance is a subject that must be continuously explored. FRASSI is particularly exquisite. In addition to combining traditional dishes with contemporary techniques, Chef Iacopo is inspired by Nordic cuisine and brings in fermentation technology and hand-made personal characteristics that are also very distinctive. The fermentation techniques are featured in each season's menu, and the overall dishes It also retains the simplicity of the "cucina povera" characteristic of Tuscan cuisine. I visited for the fourth time last month. It was a very comfortable meal. I still remember that it was also spring when the restaurant opened. The current menu uses fermentation techniques combined with offal ingredients. The fresh fish dishes also use horsehead. After a period of time, With the presentation of new dishes this year, Iacopo’s natural confidence and ingenuity are clearly felt. It’s an abalone dish. The pan-fried abalone is softened by beating, soaked in barley koji foam and added with butter. There is also anglerfish liver mousse, sweet beans, green beans, and green garlic on the bottom of the plate. The wonderful thing is that the rich and mellow taste of angler fish liver itself is not diminished by the barley koji foam at all. It is obviously a thick and sour tonality that has been fermented twice, but it can coexist with the angler fish liver, rather than mutually. The combination of sweet beans, green beans, and green garlic add more herbal fragrance and texture, and together with the bright tones of shrimp and green onion oil, they lift the weight of this dish without losing the rich and graceful feeling of satisfaction. . The overall balance is high and the layers are harmonious. It was a masterpiece that I loved that day. As for the horsehead fish, the steaming method is changed from last year's oil scale. It is covered with kombu for a few hours and then steamed at low temperature. It has an extra umami flavor. The tender and fresh texture is in line with the lightness of spring, and it is paired with the Italian flavor. Italian white asparagus fills the mood of spring; there are fermented white asparagus and freshly fried white asparagus slices on the top and bottom of the fish. The sauce is also made from fermented white asparagus, Brazilian milk, and cream, allowing different levels of sourness to set off the fish. It is fresh and sweet, and the pleasant aroma is produced by perilla flowers, which is gentle and graceful.

Taipei!

Just another hike, but this time a hike in Xiang Shan, Taipei! The stairs was honestly a little unbearable for my short legs, but at least the view wasn’t that bad so I guess it compensates for me making the effort up! Maybe next time I’ll be back for sunrise or sunset or so! Not during the afternoon hot sun which got me panting and trying really hard to catch my breath and I climb my way up! #taipei #Xiangshan

Cafe Waku

It is one of the famous Waku series cafes. I had a good impression of eating Waku Waku burger before, so I am looking forward to Cafe Waku~ Overall, I think the seasoning is good, but the taste of Kelanfu is not what I expected. It does not have a crispy texture. Located : 103, Taiwan, Taipei City, Datong District, Lane 75, Section 2, Chengde Rd, 28號1樓 #taipeitrip#cafe

Taipei's Famous Rich and Flavorful Clay Pot Chicken Soup

Taipei's Famous Rich and Flavorful Clay Pot Chicken Soup

"Ji Yuan Sichuan Restaurant" is a well-known establishment in Taipei, famous for its clay pot chicken soup and various Sichuan and Chinese dishes. It's perfect for gatherings where everyone can enjoy a hearty meal! The dining area is mainly located on the basement floor. After going downstairs, you'll find a spacious area with round tables as the main seating arrangement. There are also private rooms available for larger groups, and the overall environment is comfortable. Recommended Dishes: 🌟 Clay Pot Bamboo Fungus Chicken Soup: I love the soft and tender bamboo fungus that absorbs the rich soup. When the soup is half-finished, you can ask the staff to add cabbage and tofu, which will enhance the chicken soup with a sweet vegetable flavor. 🌟 Shredded Pork in Peking Sauce + Scallion Pancakes: These two items need to be ordered separately. The chewy scallion pancakes paired with the flavorful shredded pork in Peking sauce are a perfect match. 🌟 Fish-Fragrant Eggplant: The soft and slightly spicy eggplant is very appetizing and goes well with rice. 🌟 Thick Pancakes: Filled with plenty of scallions, the crispy exterior and fragrant interior make for a delightful bite. 🌟 Ji Yuan Tofu: A simple dish, but the tofu is surprisingly flavorful with a crispy exterior and tender interior. This time, seven people dined together, enjoying nearly ten dishes and a pot of chicken soup, with an average cost of 1200 TWD per person. It was very satisfying and delicious!",
