The Secret Beach, nestled near the famous Patong Beach, is a hidden gem in Phuket that I've just discovered for the first time! This small but stunning beach boasts crystal-clear waters and is aptly named "secret" because it cannot be seen from the road where cars drive by. To get there, one must walk down the hill from the parking area, which takes about 15 minutes, but it's totally worth it! 🌊 Another option is to take a long-tailed boat from Patong Beach, which takes approximately 25 minutes, and this is the route I chose. The boat ride took us past Tri Trang Beach and Merlin Beach, allowing us to appreciate the beauty of the sea and the rocks before reaching our destination. Furthermore, there's also a beachfront restaurant called Barefoot Bistro at Freedom Beach Phuket, serving homemade-style food. The restaurant, located at the far end of the beach, has tables and seats for guests. Every dish is prepared using charcoal, and I highly recommend trying their burger and pad Thai, which are both cooked on a charcoal grill, imparting a smoky flavor to the food. The restaurant also offers other snacks and refreshing drinks to enjoy after a swim in the sea. 🚶♂️ To get to Freedom Beach, there are two options: - Walk down the hill, which takes about 15 minutes (note that the path can be quite challenging and is not recommended for those who dislike hiking or do not wish to exercise). - Take a long-tailed boat from Patong Beach, which takes 15-20 minutes. 🏝️ #Phuket #FreedomBeach #SecretBeach #Thailand

A cape that is newly discovered, offering a great route for hiking with jaw dropping views and overwhelming sights. The highlight is the sailing rock that goes up to sit and take pictures. The viewpoint is a cliff area with a landscape that is green grass and blue sea which shows the color contrast and is very beautiful. You can take a perfect photo for your hike, and indeed, the hardest path leads you to beautiful views… don’t miss this out! Be it solo or group travel, phuket is a great get away for family and friends for beautiful prestige beaches and many seafood bbq restaurants, some even located by the sea with amazing views. There are a few restaurants that you can go to, the popular ones are Kan Eang Seafood restaurant or Pa Lai Seafood located down south of phuket at 32 Soi Pa Lai, Chalong, Mueang Phuket District which we headed to. Pai Lai seafood serves food at really resoanable price as this resturant normally serves more locals than foreigners. From prawns, to homemade otah, to stir fry squid and many more. During the day time you can also head to the many beaches that phuket has to offer, one of it which we went was at Mai Khao beach which is a beautiful 7 mile beach with lesser tourists and also located near the airport for people who do not want to drive. #grouptravel #phuket #beach #seaside #foodie #mustvisit #beaches #relaxation #holiday #resort

Patong Beach - Meh? 😕
I know I threw a bit of shade on Patong Beach in the previous post, but sometimes a little shade goes a long way in the tropics right?😉 Patong beach is great, I have nothing against it. In fact, the way the road meets the beach lined in glorious palm trees is breathtaking not only on a sunny day, but at night and when it’s gloomy too. The area is filled with hotels, resorts, bars, people. This is definitely not where you go for an “authentic Thailand experience”, it’s a place to have fun, party, go speedboating, parasailing and indulge in other activities of the sort. If you are looking to slow down, meditate, feel close to nature, this isn’t the area for that kind of getaway. The close proximity of OTOP market and Bangla road liven this space up and there’s no way around it. Actually, there is. I highly recommend Homm Bliss hotel which is on the quieter end of the beach. The beachfront view you get is stunning and you’d be situated right next to a 7/11 to stock up on whatever you need. Patong beach is beautiful. It has its own vibe and personality and I would never suggest you skip the experience altogether. It’s one of those places you check out regardless of what you’re into when you visit Phuket. Sunset & Dinner in Patong Beach 🌅 🥘
You probably heard about this touristy beach in Phuket which is famous for its nightlife and long beach line but Nope! as we were there for the sunset and the food. 😁 Thankfully, the weather was so great and we had captured one of the best sunsets we ever witnessed. You should add this to your bucketlist now. 🗓 Thereafter, as the sun completely set, we strolled nearby and found some good food. The pineapple rice is a must-try, it is so good!
