💙🇻🇳Surprising Cave in Halong bay🇻🇳💙

💙🇻🇳Surprising Cave in Halong bay🇻🇳💙

🇻🇳Our Hanoi Happenings🇻🇳 Our second stop on our UNESCO World Heritage Site on Halong Bay is the ‘Sung Sot Cave’ also known as ‘Surprising Cave’. A place so amazing that the French, who discovered it, deemed it “Grotte des Surprises” or (Surprise Grotto), Sung Sot Cave is the biggest, and one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay and an absolute highlight on most Halong Bay itineraries. The cave is also on the island of Bo Hon, along with other popular Halong caves. Our guide Linh told us that Sung Sot Cave is divided into two chambers; the first chamber, known as the “Waiting Room” which is massive, adorned by stalagmites and stalactites and lit by multicolored lights positioned to complement the chamber’s structural beauty. Then in order to reach the second chamber, visitors must walk down a narrow passageway. The second chamber is known as the “Serene Castle”. This chamber is large and grand with an extremely high ceiling and has many interesting rock formations which locals identify by likening them to animals due to their shapes, some shaped as monkeys and lions. One eye-catching rock formation is shaped like a horse with a long-sword and has a legend behind it. #timetotravel #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #境外遊 #trip #Travel

The quintessential Vietnamese experience!

Halong Bay is one of the most famous spots in Vietnam and consists of a series of amazing limestone islands which are also a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are some 2,000 islands located in Halong Bay and you will find many of them uninhabited and covered in gorgeous lush vegetation, making them perfect for hiking. If you like walking then you can also enjoy the craggy bluffs that cover the islands of Halong Bay, and you can also explore and discover isolated bays and dainty inlets. Many of the islands are also home to famous caves where you can go spelunking and although Halong Bay can get quite busy during the high season, there are still some secluded spots to uncover if you are willing to island hop. If you prefer to stay in the thick of things, then you can enjoy seafood barbecues, sea kayaking and a whole host of attractions in the main towns such as forts and other monuments.#passionpassport

World Famous Ha Long Bay

Most have heard of the every popular Halong Bay where the James Bond Movie called tomorrow never dies was being shot at. Ha Long Bay is located in the North East of Vietnam and is a popular tourists attraction due to its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. There are also many junkboats and kayaks that take visitors out to sea towards the beautiful limestone for a closer up shot as this is a World UNESCO site. Several junkboats or ship also offer stay overnight on the boat with luxurious rooms and sumptuous breakfast but can be rather costly. They normally even prefer to be paid in USD instead of thr vetnamese dong. For us, we only took the boat out to see the several limestone and island before we headed back to shore. It is an incredible sight to see such gigantic beauties around you. #asiatrip #vietnam #halongbay #mustvisit #worldfamous #unesco #naturalwonders #mustsee #thingstodo

Ha Long Bay - Wonder of The World

Getting There - Ha Long Bay is less than 150km from the center of Hanoi and about 2 hours away, so this is considered an ideal destination for the "summer cooling" trip of Northern tourists. You can choose to buy bus or limousine tickets at MoMo Super App with prices from only 260,000 VND/way with flexible time frames of the day. Attractions - Halong Bay stands out with its beautiful system of rocky islands and caves. There are two types of islands in Ha Long: limestone islands and schist islands, concentrated in two main areas, the southeast of Bai Tu Long Bay and the southwest of Ha Long Bay. This is the oldest image of the terrain with geological tectonic age from 250 to 280 million years, the result of the process of lifting and lowering many times from the continent to a sea depression. The process of Carxto erosion and weathering almost completely creates a unique Ha Long in the world. Hundreds of rocky islands, each with a very different shape, very vivid: Human Head island, Dragon island, La Vong island, Canh Buom island, Ga Choi island, Lu Huong island... Hidden in the heart of these rocky islands are beautiful caves associated with many magical legends such as Thien Cung cave , Dau Go cave , Sung Sot cave , Trinh Nu cave, Tam Cung cave ... Those are really the castles of the Creator in the middle of the world. Since ancient times, Ha Long has been named by the great national poet Nguyen Trai as "the wonder of the earth built in the sky". Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Vietnam’s most iconic destinations. Located in the Gulf of Tonkin, this breathtaking bay features over 1,600 limestone islands and islets rising dramatically from emerald-green waters. Each island boasts unique shapes and sizes, forming a surreal seascape that captivates travelers. Cruising Ha Long Bay is the most popular way to experience its beauty. Traditional wooden junk boats offer day trips and overnight stays, allowing visitors to explore the area in depth. Popular activities include kayaking through secluded lagoons, swimming in hidden coves, and visiting spectacular caves like Sung Sot (Surprise Cave) and Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Cave). For those seeking a panoramic view, a hike on Ti Top Island reveals stunning vistas of the bay. The serene ambiance of Ha Long Bay is especially magical during sunrise or sunset when the light plays beautifully across the water and islands. For adventure seekers, Cat Ba Island offers trekking and rock climbing opportunities, adding variety to the tranquil boat rides. Ha Long Bay is also home to floating fishing villages, where visitors can learn about the local way of life. The bay’s unique combination of natural beauty and cultural richness makes it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers alike.
