#taipei Tofu Cape is a small bay located in Nanfang ao, which is easily accessible by train or bus from Yilan. It was given the name as due to its Tofu shaped geological formations. There is a coastal hiking trail which was perfect for watching the sunrise, which we really enjoyed. we saw people doing kayaking on our day of visit. Guess we would be back to try out some water sports soon.

When you visit hear be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes with grip as it can be slippery. This place has a laid back vibe that makes you want to connect with Nature. I received a phone call two weeks ago, telling me that I had been selected for Hang Lung Hotel’s Amateur Master Experience Program last month. Surprised, I quickly shared the good news with my friends. They each took leave and took the train to Jiaoxi on Sunday for a one-stop, two-diner slow travel experience. Although the entrance of the hotel is located on the side of the road, it is like a paradise in the city. The entire building is covered with bamboo, like a huge birdcage, so that after the long journey, we just want to stay inside and rest. After checking in, we took the elevator to the room. This time we stayed in a stream room. As soon as we entered the room, we explored everywhere in the room, looking for anything new. The three-dimensional egg-shaped cabinet on the wall is definitely the most impressive design for us. When we open it, we find a small bar inside, where various snacks and drinks are placed. During dinner time, we went to the HABITAT restaurant on the first floor to enjoy carefully prepared menu-less dishes. The chef combined local ingredients and seasonings to present us exquisite delicacies. I found very special ingredients in several dishes, such as using dried apricots in pork soup, or adding golden dates to guinea fowl, etc., which are not common. In addition, there is a hidden version of the dish served in a Vermicular enamel cast iron pot - cream truffle bomb. It is a dish only for Hang Lung members. Thanks to this amateur project, I was also lucky enough to taste it. After eating and drinking, we walked out of the cage to eat before going back to the room to take a bath and go to bed. We poured hot spring water into the bathtub and enjoyed the healing bath time, sighing comfortably from our mouths. For me, who has not been in a hot spring for many years, I have forgotten how great it feels! Thank you Hang Lung Travel for the JING Slow Travel Experience planned by Jiaoxi, which allowed my friend and I to take a two-day, one-night trip in our busy schedule. We had a great time and look forward to recharging here again next time. P.S. We had our dinner in Jiaoxi at Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi Crystal Spring Hotel, having hot pot together, warming up around the stove for a warm and happy evening. The dinner location is at San Fan Jiaoxi inside the hotel! And we ate the top hot pot set meal of San Fan, the set meal has a variety of fresh seafood and land ingredients, so rich. While tasting the hot pot, you can also enjoy the healthy vegetables here! It displays a full range of fresh vegetables, fruits and frozen shrimp that can be taken and eaten at will. Such a happy evening, everyone also come to have a drink! Japanese hot pot with sake is definitely a perfect match. Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. Walking through the misty forest with its giant cypress trees is a magical experience that you’ll never forget. With well-maintained trails, Alishan National Forest Recreation Area is very walkable. However, for those who get tired of walking or simply enjoy a ride in an historic train, there’s the Alishan Forest Railway. One of the things Alishan is famous for is its stunning sunrise, where you can see the sun rise above the clouds and from behind the mountains. Since you’re at about 2,000 meters above sea level, the view can be spectacular. To see the sunrise, you take the Alishan Forest Railway early in the morning from Alishan Station, which takes about 25 minutes to reach Zhushan Station. From there, you can walk another 10 minutes to the Xiaoliyuanshan Lookout at nearly 2,500 meters for the best view.
