The beginning of this trip was meat noodles. I went there ‘because I was hungry’ without any grand plans. But that one bowl changed the mood of the trip. Tender meat in rich pork broth, chewy noodles. Even if I eat it as a bibim or as a warm soup, it feels like my stomach is relieved. As I quietly slurp and eat, I thought that this is a luxury that can only be enjoyed in Jeju. After finishing the meal, I drove along the Aewol coastal road. Even when the sun is high in the sky, this road is always leisurely. The scenery of the blue sea and black basalt just passing by outside the window is healing. Here and there, I noticed cafes with a faint coffee aroma, but among them, a cafe called ‘Haejigae’ really stood out. The name itself already has a sunset in it. If you stop by around sunset, you can have a cup of coffee with the sky turning red across the sea. I sat by the window, ordered a soufflé, and looked at the sunlight spreading out, and it felt like time had stopped. When the sunset sets, Aewol is the most beautiful. Light spreads along the coastline, the wind blows, and even people walking by look up at the sky in silence. At that moment, everyone becomes a poet. As I finished the day, I thought of meat noodles again. That one bowl was the beginning, and if this sunset is the end, then a day in Aewol remains like a poem that cannot be replaced by anything else.

A detached house in Aewol, Jeju for 160,000 KRW per night! We booked it for our family trip and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. It cost 370,000 KRW for 2 nights, which is less than 50,000 KRW per person per night. Amazing! The house is remodeled from an old house, capturing the rural vacation vibe perfectly, and it embodies the unique atmosphere of Jeju. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 small room, and a fully equipped kitchen. They also provide plenty of towels, so we didn't even use the ones we brought. The emerald sea of Jeju Island! The best part of my recent trip to Jeju was the sea view from the Aewol Cafe Street! Although the weather wasn't great during my trip to Jeju, the sea still showed off its lush emerald color. It was one of the best travel destinations I've been to, so I highly recommend it to everyone! It's not too far from the airport, so it's easy to get to! The drinks were nothing special, but the atmosphere inside the store was really great. There is a separate space inside the store to sell souvenirs, and you can also see the dogs raised by the store. Although there seems to be plenty of seats inside the store, including an outdoor space, it was full when tourists went to the cafe a little after lunch time. The second floor is relatively quiet. The great thing about this store is that you can see the ocean right in front of you if you sit on the outdoor seats. I heard that it was also used as a filming location for a drama, so I think I would have been happier if it was a drama I had seen.
