tibidabo church, barcelona ⛪️🌲

here is the post about tibidabo church — you really should go up here. from the top you see the city, sea, and mountains at the same time, and you can also hike around in the forest (^▽^)ノ how to get there (from the center) • classic route: fgc l7 from plaça catalunya → avinguda tibidabo, then tibiBus t2c up to the stop near the amusement park and the church. • from the bus stop it’s just a short uphill walk to the basilica. not hard, just a bit in the slope. (if you’re already in tibidabo amusement park, the church is literally a few steps higher.) what to do there (。•‿•)っ • go inside: the lower neo-gothic church and the upper church are calm and full of mosaics and stained glass. • definitely go even higher: take the lift and then stairs to the upper terrace and the christ statue. views from up there are some of the best in barcelona. • walk around: the hill is part of the serra de collserola natural area, with pine trees and small trails. you can easily combine the church with a short forest walk. tiny tips • comfy shoes, even “just for the church”: there are stairs and slopes everywhere. • on a clear day, late afternoon or sunset time is perfect for soft light and photos (╹◡╹) you can fit everything in one day: tibidabo amusement park + tibidabo church + a small loop in the woods. next post is about the tibidabo amusement park and why it is also worth going all the way up there. #falladventures #barcelona #tibidabo #sagradcor #templodelsagratcor #collserola #viewpoint #hike #cityviews #sunsetspot #barcelonawithkids #thingstodo #tripcom

Discover the best of Barcelona and its province in just a few days — think surreal architecture, old-world alleys, epic food stops and views for days! 🏰✨ Here’s the must-see list: 1. Park Guell (Carrer d'Olot, Gràcia, 08024 Barcelona): Snap Gaudí’s rainbow mosaics. Open 09:30-18:00. Book early for smoother entry! 2. Columbus Monument (Plaça Portal de la Pau): Panoramic city and sea views from the top. Check opening: 08:30-14:30 (admission ends 13:30). 3. Gothic Quarter (Ciutat Vella): Wander 2,000 years of history, pretty much any hour — it’s open all day and totally magical at night. 4. Mercat de la Boqueria (La Rambla, 91): Get lost in a color bomb of market stalls. Open 08:00-20:30 Mon-Sat. Try the fresh fruit juices and jamón! 5. Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Plaça de Gaudi: Hilltop icons with awesome city panoramas. 6. Sagrada Familia (Carrer de Mallorca, 401): It’s breathtaking but beware of pickpockets (especially outside). Pro tip: book tickets online and keep bags zipped at all times! Getting around: Barcelona’s metro is fast and cheap, and buses go everywhere. Walking’s a vibe but watch your pockets on crowded streets! Eat this: Hit a proper paella spot in the old town. You can’t leave without tasting it, but avoid tourist places with “photo menu” vibes — locals do it better! Cash & safety: Card is king but keep some euros handy. Stay sharp around popular places — pickpockets are sneaky pros. #BarcelonaAdventures #GaudiDreaming #TravelSmart #BoqueriaBites #SpainTips #mediterranean
