Many of you may already be familiar with Bill, the visionary behind Shinta Mani. Adhering to his design philosophy that "luxury is dead," he tirelessly pursues the harmonious coexistence of nature and humanity in his works. With over 40 years in the industry, Bill has led more than 200 resort projects across 40+ countries. In 2014, he partnered with Sokoun Chanpreda, founder of Shinta Mani, to establish Bensley Collection in Siem Reap. Typically, hotels bearing Bill's signature come with a hefty price tag, but this flagship Shinta Mani property stands out for its exceptional value, making it an ideal first encounter with Bill's distinctive style. Shinta Mani Angkor is nestled in Siem Reap's French Quarter, a tranquil, tree-lined area by the river with excellent security. It's an easy walk to the city center and just 15 minutes from the Angkor Wat temple complex. The name "Shinta Mani," derived from Sanskrit, means "good heart," reflecting Sokoun's goodwill and aspirations for his homeland. After studying abroad, he returned to invest in Cambodia and founded the original Shinta Mani brand two decades ago. When Shinta Mani Angkor first opened in 2003, it was a modest 18-room guesthouse. Sokoun established a hospitality training school within the hotel to provide employment opportunities for underprivileged Cambodian youth, officially launching in 2004. This initiative eventually grew into what is now the Shinta Mani Foundation.
