Yu Family Ancestral Hall in Shuangxi, Yujiachun, Yizhang, Hunan

The Yu Family Ancestral Hall was built during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, taking three years to complete (1859-1861). It covers an area of over 300 square meters and features a hard mountain roof and fire walls. The structure has three bays, three sections, and two courtyards. The main entrance has a concave design, with wooden pillars on stone bases, and a caisson ceiling above. A plaque reading "Yu Family Ancestral Hall" hangs on the wooden pillars. The first section has pavilions on both sides with wooden stairs leading directly up. The second section has four steps with stone drums on both sides. The hall has wooden pillars on stone bases with exquisitely carved stone foundations. The ancestral hall was built with thick, high-quality materials and features a simple, ancient style with decorative wooden beam carvings. It is a key cultural relic protection site in Yizhang County.
