A short weekend escape ~ Take your kids out in Doumen, Zhuhai ~

Working students usually cannot travel far at will, so they can only fragment their travel into nearby tours on weekends. Based in Shenzhen, my weekend travel options include places within a 3-hour drive from the surrounding areas, so I can escape from my daily life for a while without having to travel too far or too hard. While I was slacking off, I saw Ctrip’s 318 hotel package for the Zhuhai Doumen RV Camp. I had never experienced RV accommodation before and it was very novel, so I made a reservation immediately after stocking up. 🚗Transportation: Self-driving is recommended. I started from Nanshan after get off work on Friday night and took the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel. It took about 1.5 hours to reach Doumen, Zhuhai without traffic jams. 🏕️Accommodation: The RV campsite is inside the Shili Lianjiang Scenic Area. From the scenic area parking lot, the B&B housekeeper drove a golf cart to take us to our RV. Each RV has an independent courtyard. The gate of the scenic area will be closed at night, and the environment is very quiet. The wild luxury family RV we booked has two single beds + a bunk bed, which is very suitable for the whole family. You can also lie on the bed and open the canopy to look at the night sky. It was drizzling the night we arrived, and falling asleep to the sound of the rain was very healing. 🎈Travel: We arrived too late the night before, and both kids fell asleep in the RV and slept until dawn. I was woken up by the sound of birds in the morning and found myself in an RV, which was very novel. When you push open the door of the RV, you will see a large field of rapeseed flowers in full bloom. I heard that there are also lotus fields in summer and golden wheat fields in autumn. There are different scenery in each season. The RV courtyard is very suitable for open-air barbecues or making tea around the stove. We also celebrated my sister’s 3rd birthday and decorated it with her favorite Hello Kitty theme. Children all love to receive gifts on their birthdays🎁. The scenic area is semi-original and not carefully maintained. Instead, it has a wild charm. You can pick corn and vegetables in the fields and fruits in the orchard. The two kids picked a bag full. You can also drive go-karts in the camp, there are single, double and four-person ones. 🖼Surroundings: There are also Royal Hot Springs and Jintai Temple around the camp. Because I also arranged a full day trip to Zhuhai Chimelong this time, I didn’t go to other attractions in Doumen, which laid the groundwork for my next trip🤭. RV camping accommodation adds another new experience for children.
