🌴☀️ Miami to Key West: 4 Days, 3 Nights of Florida Magic 🇺🇸🌊
If you ask me what the perfect Florida road trip looks like… imagine turquoise water, pastel Art Deco buildings, Cuban coffee, a convertible cruising along an endless ocean bridge, and sunsets that make you forget to check your phone. 🌅🚗
Welcome to Miami + Key West — where city vibes meet tropical island life!
📍 DAY 1 — Hello, Miami! 🏖️
First stop: Lincoln Road for a little shopping, cute cafés, and people-watching. Then head to South Beach, kick off your shoes, and let the Atlantic Ocean say hello. 🌊
The pastel Art Deco buildings, swaying palm trees, colorful lifeguard towers, and golden-hour beach views? Honestly, your camera roll is about to be FULL. 📸
🍹 Must-try: Cuban sandwiches, fresh seafood, and a refreshing mojito.
📍 DAY 2 — Art, Culture & City Adventures 🎨
Miami has so much more than beaches!
🎨 Wynwood Walls — giant murals, bold colors, and street art everywhere. Every corner feels like a different photo shoot.
🇨🇺 Little Havana — Cuban coffee, cigar shops, Latin music, and lively streets. Grab a cafecito and soak up the atmosphere.
🏛️ Freedom Tower — a landmark with a fascinating history.
🏀 Kaseya Center — home of the Miami HEAT. Even if there’s no game, the arena exterior is worth a quick photo stop.
🛥️ Biscayne Bay Cruise — see Miami’s skyline from the water and enjoy those gorgeous waterfront views.
🐊 Everglades Airboat Tour — swap skyscrapers for wild wetlands and keep your eyes open for alligators!
Fair warning: Miami’s personality changes every few kilometres. One minute you’re surrounded by murals, the next you’re cruising past luxury yachts or exploring a Cuban neighbourhood. 😂
📍 DAY 3 — The Ultimate Florida Keys Road Trip 🚗💙
This is the day I’d be most excited about!
Hit U.S. Route 1 and drive south towards Key West. The journey itself is part of the adventure — ocean views, little islands, roadside stops, and endless shades of blue.
🌉 Seven Mile Bridge — one of the most iconic stretches of road in the Florida Keys. Driving across the ocean feels almost unreal.
📍 Key West Southernmost Point — stop at the famous colourful buoy marking the southernmost point of the continental USA. Yes, it’s touristy. Yes, you’re taking the photo anyway. 😂📸
🚶 Duval Street — explore colourful shops, cafés, historic streets, and the island’s laid-back atmosphere.
🍰 Key lime pie — tangy, creamy, and absolutely worth the calories.
🦞 Fresh seafood — because a Florida Keys trip without seafood would be a crime against your taste buds.
🌅 Finish the day by the ocean and watch the sunset. No rushing, no complicated plans — just warm air, sea breezes, and that island feeling.
📍 DAY 4 — Beaches, Wildlife & Palm Beach 🌴
Start with Fort Lauderdale Beach, where the coastline feels a little more relaxed. Take a stroll along the beach, enjoy the sea breeze, and grab some breakfast before heading north.
🦁 Lion Country Safari — a drive-through wildlife adventure where you can see lions, giraffes, zebras, and other animals. Keep your camera ready, but always follow the park’s wildlife safety rules!
🌺 Palm Beach Island — explore the elegant streets around Worth Avenue, admire the Mediterranean-style architecture, and enjoy the boutiques and beautiful coastal scenery.
✈️ Then it’s time to head to the airport and say goodbye to Florida.
Four days might not be enough to see absolutely everything, but it’s enough to experience a little bit of everything: beaches, art, wildlife, city life, island roads, and unforgettable sunsets.

💡 A few road-trip tips before you go:
🚗 Renting a car makes the Miami–Key West journey much easier.
☀️ Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes.
🎟️ Check opening hours and book popular tours in advance.
🏀 Check the Miami HEAT schedule if you want to catch a game.
🦁 Check safari admission and animal-viewing rules before visiting.
⏰ Day 4 is ambitious: Lion Country Safari is inland, while Palm Beach is farther north. Allow plenty of driving time, and don’t miss your flight trying to squeeze in one more stop!
One more thing: if you’re visiting during peak season, give yourself extra time for traffic, parking, and those “wait, let’s take one more photo” moments. 🤭
Miami gives you the energy. Key West gives you the escape. The road between them gives you the memories. 💙
And honestly? That sounds like a pretty good way to spend four days in America. 🇺🇸🌴
