From Plitvice Lakes we arrived near the Sea Organ in Zadar, just in time for the beautiful sunset! The entire sea surface and steps were dyed golden yellow, which was simply stunning! When the sun slowly slid towards the sea level, everyone sat on the steps and admired it. The sea here is really blue, and the reflection of each other is beautiful. 🌅Unlike other sunsets, Zadar not only has a golden sunset, but also the melody of the sea organ accompanied by the waves hitting the stone steps. 📜The sea organ plays music through the resonance of the waves and the polyethylene pipes under the marble steps. The music will also change with the frequency of the waves. Every sunset has its own music, a European romance, love to death! The sky slowly changed colors while the sea reflected soft orange and pink tones, making the waterfront the perfect place to end the day. It’s easy to see why Zadar is often mentioned for its sunsets. The Old Town is compact, walkable, and full of life in the evening, with cafés and stone streets leading straight to the sea. Our next stop was Skradin, a small riverside town and the main gateway to Krka National Park. Staying here for one night was ideal. Skradin feels calm and charming, and it’s the best place to catch the boat into Krka NP. Inside the park, wooden walkways guide you through waterfalls, emerald pools, and lush greenery. It’s an easy and well-organized visit, even for a short stay. After exploring, we ate at Restaurant & Pizzeria Škafet in Skradin. It’s a relaxed spot with good pizza and local dishes, perfect after a day of walking. 🔹Foreword: The last day of my National Day trip was in Milan. Leaving the chilly Zadar, I arrived in sunny Milan. This was my second visit, and since there wasn't any mandatory shopping planned, I decided to take the kids to the park for a more relaxed city walk. 🏨Sheraton San Siro, Milan Not in Milan's main city center, but near the San Siro stadium. The hotel is relatively new, but there's a shuttle bus to the city center, which requires advance booking. There are only 7 seats available, so it's first-come, first-served. 🚗Transportation: Bring a credit card; you can use it on the metro, trams, buses, and trains—just tap and pay. I tested it and it only charged €7 within 24 hours. Google Maps is quite accurate. City Walk Route: 📍Across from the hotel shuttle bus stop is Sforzesco Castle (Castello Sforzesco). Admission to the castle is free, and there are some exhibitions. Passing through the castle, you'll reach Parco Sempione, which has a large lawn and some small animals. There's a small playground in the park where the kids played for over half an hour. Passing through the park, you'll reach the Arco della (Gate of Peace). Pace Next to it was Chinatown. I had milk tea, Lanzhou noodles, and roast duck, and then I wanted to go home. Afterwards, I followed the navigation to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano). I originally wanted to climb to the top of the cathedral, but the queue was too long, so I just sat at the entrance for a while, watching the pigeons. ⚠️If you start walking from Milan Cathedral, most of the above attractions are on the same route and can be reached on foot. 【Cathedral - Galleria - Castle - Park - Gate of Peace - Chinatown, very convenient】 Then I took the metro to the Canal District. There were no markets at that time, so I just wandered around. Regarding shopping 🛍️ The exchange rate was high during the National Day holiday, so many brands weren't cheaper than in Hainan's duty-free shops, so I didn't specifically shop there. I visited five of Milan's top ten boutiques, but the prices were still too high, and I couldn't bring myself to buy anything. Be rational with your spending, hahaha! End of my day in Milan. Finally, I took the metro back to the hotel. 🔹Summary: You can basically see all the attractions in downtown Milan in a day, and I didn't encounter any pickpockets or anything like that, so it wasn't as exaggerated as some people described. I probably won't come back again, but I might use it as a transit point when traveling to other parts of Europe.
