The Walnut Restaurant and Lounge Bar

We enjoyed our dinner at The Walnut Restaurant, 152 Alice St, Brisbane, Queensland 4000, Australia. The decor is great, with plenty of space between tables, a comfortable setting and a great view of the Botanical Gardens. The food was delicious, we had scallops for starters, spanner crab pasta for mains and shared a cheese platter, washed down with a nice glass of wine. The two waiters, Andrew and Edward (I think that was their name) were very professional, friendly and impeccably attentive. They definitely enhanced our dining experience.

Very nice meals. Drinks were a little slow to come out on our first order & we did have to call the waiter - Ricky over a couple of times for another round. But overall, it's very good for either date night or catchup with friends.

How pleasant it was to go to a restaurant with great service and food to catch up with old friends and actually be able to have a conversation without shouting.

The service was impeccable from when I arrived, during the fabulous meal and after. Nothing was a problem. The menu was varied and delicious. Would I recommend coming here, absolutely. I will be back.

First time here. Service was prompt. Food was excellent. Definitely recommend the lamb shank and duck. Desert was also really good. Thanks
