Jazushi

This restaurant is a pearl in Surry Hills. It has a very high reputation. From the dressing of the salad, to the ingredients of the salmon kingfish carpaccio, to the clever decoration of the grilled butter scallops, you can feel the chef's ingenuity everywhere. The Camembert tempura is also very special, and it is harmoniously matched with the coconut milk dipping sauce. The three ways to eat eel rice are also full of surprises and attract a lot of attention. The music performance at 7 o'clock in the evening is soothing and full of atmosphere.

A Japanese restaurant with a nice environment, you can also listen to the band, $50 per person. Dessert platter, you can order it individually or choose 3 desserts to make a platter. I like the caramel matcha pudding on the right the most.

Love this restaurant! I’ve been here twice and the food and service is fantastic. Have tried a few things on the menu and the flavours are delicately Japanese with inspiration from other cultures. Some of my favourites are oysters granita, wagyu tataki, scallop miso butter, gyoza and the JFC which is so juicy! The matcha mocha ice cream with berry is fantastic as a dessert. The live jazz brings such a nice calming ambience despite the restaurant being full of chatter. Highly recommend!

After booking I received a (missed) call and email from Jazushi to advise we would be placed upstairs (this is also advised as a possibility when booking). It’s a converted rooftop space that is informal and we had good fine/warm weather to enjoy it. Food was delicious as always and the Fork discount with share plates made it as cheap as takeaway!

This is a great restaurant, delicious casual food that is well presented. We were there on a night with live music, which was very pleasant. Very handy to Belvoir Theatre and tram stop. Recommended.
