Super authentic French food, I recommend the sea bass steak, it tastes very good and the ingredients are fresh, highly recommended!
DAY 7. Olive Cuisine de Saison, Siem Reap - Bodia Spa A French restaurant in Siem Reap is a must-try when visiting Siem Reap. This area was once a French colony, so French cuisine is very distinctive in Cambodia. We chose Olive Cuisine de Saison based on the reviews. The restaurant is divided into two areas: the front and back. It's small, but the ambiance is elegant. We were seated at a double table by the window. The appetizer was a baguette, which arrived warm and crispy, and even better with butter. The olives were appetizing. With four courses, one dessert, and a bottle of red wine, we ordered a bit too much. The duck salad had a strong flavor, which was a bit strange, but the salad was okay, refreshing and delicious. The cod, served with baby potatoes, olives, corn kernels, green beans, and other vegetables, was tender and the baby potatoes were also flavorful. The pistachio mango foie gras was beautifully presented, and the foie gras was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth. It was a bit too much when paired with the apple pie underneath. To avoid feeling full, we also ordered a roast chicken, but it was a bit dry and not very tasty. Finally, the dessert, which was the top recommendation online, the molten chocolate cake, wasn't very good. Honestly, the presentation was average; the caramel on the cake was too coarse, and the lava core was a bit solid. The ice cream scoop, on the other hand, was cool and refreshing, which was a welcome relief. Massgag: Experience local flavor and indulge in a luxurious feast for body and soul in this ancient kingdom. Bodia Spa is located in an alley near Bar Street. It's not very large, and upon entering, you need to fill out a form to choose the essential oil and massage intensity. We opted for a Cambodian essential oil massage, which starts with a foot soak and ends with a massage. Each person has a separate room, and the full-body essential oil technique is similar. It was a refreshing experience after a tiring day. After the massage, we walked out to the Bodia shop, where we could buy some products. Scrubs, handmade soaps, essential oils, and other products are the shop's specialty and make great souvenirs.
