This shop has a really wide variety of congee! I counted seven or eight kinds, both savory and sweet. They also have a good selection of steamed buns and shumai, but my favorite is the millet and pumpkin congee. It's cooked until very thick and creamy, and a bowl of it in the morning is so comforting. If you also love congee, you should definitely give it a try.
The chicken broth is indeed rich and flavorful, clearly simmered for a long time. The caramel-crusted buns are a highlight; their crispy outer layer has a hint of caramel flavor, creating a unique taste when paired with the broth. I recommend drinking a few sips of the broth first, then soaking the buns in it, to experience two distinct layers of flavor.
This breakfast place serves food incredibly fast, perfect for people in a rush. I timed it, and it took an average of 5 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. I recommend avoiding the 8:30 AM rush hour for even faster service.
