Rice noodles are a special snack in southern China. People in Jiangyou usually call them noodles. Rice noodles are made from rice and are made into strips or threads through soaking, steaming and pressing. They are not powdery materials made from rice as the raw material. Rice noodles are flexible and elastic. They do not become mushy when boiled in water and are not easy to break when stir-fried. They are smooth and tasty when boiled or stir-fried with various vegetables or soup ingredients. They are deeply loved by consumers (especially those in the south). There are many varieties of rice noodles, which can be divided into row rice noodles, square rice noodles, corrugated rice noodles, silver rice noodles, wet rice noodles and dry rice noodles. The production process of rice noodles is similar, generally: rice - washing - soaking - grinding - steaming - pressing (squeezing) - re-steaming - cooling - drying - packaging - finished product.
There is a brand of Guilin rice noodles called Laodongjiang rice noodles. This is a time-honored rice noodle shop that has been handed down through local handicrafts. The rice noodle marinade retains the original fragrance of Guilin rice noodles and tastes very good.
It's an old shop. Just be tolerant. I always avoid going there during mealtime. It's super delicious. I ate there a few days after staying in Guilin. Go past Longyin Bridge and head towards Qixingyan. Turn right after the bridge and it's across the street. It's a big sign. The shop next door is full when there's no business. That's what delicious food means. The Beilin Museum opposite requires a ticket, 70 yuan per person... Just go there. The Zizhou Park next to it is beautiful. You can go around and take pictures of the Elephant Trunk Hill.
This is a Guilin rice noodle shop that I came to check in because of its reputation. Store: Lao Dongjiang Rice Noodle (Headquarters) Address: No. 3, Longyin Road (near Qixing Park) Business hours: 6 am to 4:30 pm, closed at night. Dishes: I ordered a 3-liang stewed vegetable noodle, which cost 6 yuan (4 yuan for 1 liang, 5 yuan for 2 liang, clearly marked). The signature stewed vegetable noodle is more expensive (10 yuan for 2 liang, 11 yuan for 3 liang). 3-liang stewed vegetable noodle is enough to fill you up. It contains stewed meat and peanuts, and you can add side dishes and peppers (only three), as well as shank soup (quite hot). Their rice noodles are chewy, and Guilin rice noodles are made with authentic Lijiang water. Experience: This Lao Dongjiang Rice Noodle Headquarters requires cash payment (does not support Alipay or WeChat payment). Pay in cash at the store (there is an old man at the front desk) to give a receipt, and then go to the front to show it and wait (an old lady is in charge). There are about nine tables in the store (two bamboo tables are in the back), there are machines selling drinks and water, there are fans, and the decoration environment is relatively simple. At about 4 pm, the aunties started to clean up the tables and then closed the store. This restaurant has a good reputation for taste and is on the Ctrip Food Forest list. It is worth a try.
I drool when I think of Guilin rice noodles! It's really delicious (「・ω・)「Hey, only Guilin rice noodles in Guilin are so delicious! The ingredients are also the best, and with the side dishes you make, it's so delicious! Also, eating the noodles first and then adding the soup is also the correct way to eat Guilin rice noodles. You must try it! Guilin rice noodles in Guilin are delicious and very affordable!
It's a famous old shop. I walked here not far from the hotel. There were still many people at 2pm. The price was not expensive. Locals eat stewed vegetable noodles. Two or three taels are very cheap. I ordered the signature stewed vegetable noodles and beef noodles. Probably more beef. I wanted to add more pot roast, but later I found out that it was roasted meat. After paying the bill, I went to get the rice noodles myself. They are made and sold on the spot. The authentic Guilin rice noodles are eaten dry first. Of course, if you like soup noodles, you can add soup. You can add ingredients such as scallions, sour beans, and peppers. The taste is pretty good. I personally think it's better to eat the original flavor. After eating, I heard the boss say that the rice noodles were sold out. Haha, happy.
Let’s not talk about this old Guilin rice noodle shop, but let’s give a treat to those who want to go there! The main store of Lao Dongjiang Rice Noodles is at No. 3 Shijiayuan Road, near Longyin Bridge (Qixing Park). I don’t know all the local drivers. I called a DD to go there for food, but the driver followed the navigation and went around in a circle... The main store of Lao Dongjiang Rice Noodles is not big, and the Shijiayuan Road bus station is opposite. There are many diners who come here for the reputation... Just order a bowl of special noodles for 10 yuan to try it! The seasoning is self-service... and the soup is free...
