It was drizzling 🌧️, so I went shopping and eating in East and West Alley. 🍃 I've seen this restaurant countless times, Guiyinchu Sky Courtyard Restaurant. Finally, I grabbed my girlfriend and went there this weekend! We took the elevator to the right of the East-West Lane gate and ascended to the third floor. We were stunned by the sight—this wasn't a restaurant, it was a hidden gem in the heart of the city! 🍹 The overall design is a Chinese courtyard house, with wooden corridors winding around a small water feature. Lanterns hung from the eaves swayed gently in the breeze, instantly reminiscent of the relaxing atmosphere in "Where the Wind Goes." I especially recommend visiting in the evening, when the setting sun paints the white walls and black tiles a warm golden color. Finding a seat in any corner of the corridor feels like dining in a period drama. 👏 But the most amazing thing has to be the top floor! I had seen people say you could "climb up the roof and peel off the tiles" and didn't believe it, but when I got there, I realized you could actually walk up the wooden steps to the rooftop terrace. Above me was Guilin's blue sky, and in the distance, I could glimpse the silhouette of Elephant Trunk Hill. With a drink in hand, I snapped a silhouette photo. My WeChat Moments were immediately flooded with requests for my address (I've already shared the location with ten friends). The rooftop setting is incredibly thoughtful, with bamboo curtains, lanterns, and a small coffee table. Even if I'm not taking photos, it's super comfortable to just sit and enjoy the breeze. 💗 Address: 3rd Floor, Building B, East-West Lane, Jiefang East Road. It's just above Jiushi BBQ and Frog Little Hero. Finding the elevator is super easy with the navigation. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, as the rooftop seats are hard to come by if you're late! 👭🏻 Next time, I'd like to bring my family here for lunch. I followed a local to a popular online restaurant that was a guaranteed hit! 😋 A local Guilin lady recommended this restaurant to me. The ingredients are fresh, and the appearance and flavor are both excellent 👍. The panoramic terrace 🏠 is especially stunning for photos! This restaurant's terrace overlooks the ancient buildings in East and West Alleys. It's like stepping back a century ago. The historical atmosphere and urban chic are a perfect blend ✨. This poetic Guilin moment is captured in my camera 📷. My bestie and I took countless photos. I also loved the restaurant's dishes 🍲— The sweet and fragrant iced plum duck 🦆 is perfectly chewy. The sour and refreshing lime-flavored black fish 🐟 is tender and delicious. The curry prawns 🍤 are amazing. Thai creamy flavor. And the super low-calorie apple quinoa salad 🥗everyone loves it.
