Our Hainan trip is coming to an end, stop #4️⃣: Haikou! It only takes about 1️⃣ hour by high-speed train from Wanning to Haikou, with frequent and convenient departures 🚅 🌇 After doing our research, we went straight to the Haikou Huacai InterContinental Hotel after getting off the train. After checking in, we arrived at our room—the joy of opening the door to the ocean is indescribable! The ocean-view balcony faces Haikou CBD, and the outline of the Century Bridge is gilded by the sunset 🌇. Every snapshot looks like a cinematic masterpiece! In the evening, Xiaoyou and I snuggled on the balcony sofa, watching the sunset paint the sky red like orange soda. On the sea, we chatted about the most memorable and joyful moments of our Hainan trip. Even the wind carried a salty-sweet scent! As evening approached, the dazzling lights of the CBD were reflected on the water, creating a breathtaking "half starry sky, half bustling city" seascape. A relaxing bath followed by a soak in the tub was pure bliss. ♨️ The heated soaking tub, perfect for autumn and winter, was fantastic! ✌🏻 The water temperature was just right, and the three little ones changed into their swimsuits and started splashing around happily. The joy of summer was back! ✌🏻 The outdoor playground was even more delightful: a sandpit, swings, and slides… There were even beautiful peacocks 🦚! The three little ones were so eager to see them display their plumage that they tried everything they could, hahaha! 🥢 At the InterContinental, we ate our way through steak and seafood to Peking duck 🦆! The sunset and night view from the 11th-floor restaurant was stunning! The steak and seafood set meal was presented like a work of art. Little Youyou even finished her whole bowl of cream of mushroom soup 😄. We helped her cut the steak, and she kept saying how delicious it was. There was even ice cream after the meal—so happy! The must-try dishes at the 1️⃣-floor Chinese restaurant are the seafood congee and Peking duck. The kids wrapped the duck themselves—simple and easy! It smelled so good, I couldn't stop eating it! Breakfast was different every day, and you absolutely have to try the Hainan specialty noodles, plus the pandan fried dough sticks and noodles – so delicious! A tropical breakfast, got it! ✅ In the evening, we walked to the nearby Huacai Haikou Bay Square. There were live singers 🎤 and a giant Christmas tree. Further on, there was a beach 🏖️, which the kids absolutely loved! It's only a ten-minute taxi ride from the city attractions, so transportation is convenient. Let's have dinner at Cha Restaurant & Bar! Located on the 11th floor of the InterContinental Haikou Huacai Hotel. The sunset here is absolutely stunning! ✨ We arrived at 5:30 PM and watched the sky gradually turn from azure to orange-pink. The clouds seemed to be on fire, rolling in golden waves on the horizon. The sunset reflected on the sea, turning the entire ocean into a flowing orange soda 🍊. I have to praise the quality of their ingredients. This time, we chose the Deluxe Seaview Seafood and Steak Set Meal for Two. The pan-fried salmon had a crispy exterior and was still tender and juicy inside. Every bite was incredibly delicious. The private dining room was also beautifully decorated. It would be a perfect place for a birthday celebration or a date. The golden half hour before and after sunset was breathtakingly beautiful.
