I always buy a bag of Lao Ding Feng's peach shortbread whenever I pass by. Their peach shortbread is incredibly crumbly; it crumbles at the slightest touch, yet it doesn't leave your hands oily. It stays crisp for several days, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. I recommend buying the smaller packages to prevent it from getting soggy.

Lao Ding Feng's jujube paste pastry is truly excellent. The outer crust is incredibly flaky, crumbling at the slightest touch, while the jujube paste filling is finely ground and has just the right amount of sweetness without being cloying. If you're buying it as a souvenir, I recommend choosing the individually packaged version; if you're buying it for yourself, opt for the simpler packaging—the price difference can be as much as a third.

I've bought from this store a few times before, and I recommend you go straight for their Napoleon cake. Other stores either don't have crispy enough pastry or the cream is too rich, but theirs is just right.
