The Seven Tables Restaurant in Xitang Ancient Town, Jiashan, is currently the most popular restaurant in Xitang Scenic Area. We made a reservation one day in advance. The restaurant is not big, but the dishes are authentic local dishes, among which the pork knuckle and rice dumplings with fermented glutinous rice are the best in our opinion.

I went there for the high review score, but I didn't expect there were two stores. I guess the original seven tables were not enough. The two stores were very close, just across from each other, so the waiter took us there directly. Four people ordered three dishes and one soup: Shenxian tofu, made of fish tofu, tasted quite fresh; steamed white water fish, the fish meat was very tender, the saltiness was just right, a local representative dish; secret beef, there was dry ice when it came up, the plate was beautiful, and the beef was also very tender; I like the salted pork and winter melon soup very much, it is especially comfortable to drink in summer, and there are quite a lot of winter melons, the knife skills are good, and I drank several bowls in a row. Each table of merchants gave screws, the first one was served, and everyone ate quite a lot. At the end, they also gave a fruit, a sliced ​​banana, and dry ice was smoking underneath, just to pick out the slippery banana slices from this swaying container with some skills. During the period, the aunt repeatedly asked us if it was to our taste, because she saw that we didn't eat much, and thought we must not be used to it, even though we repeatedly explained that it was because we had eaten snacks in the afternoon, and it was true. The auntie kept saying sorry for not letting us eat to our heart's content and even gave us a salt and pepper pumpkin. We were already too full to eat any more and yet she gave us another dish, which made us feel really embarrassed and we could only eat a few more bites.

I personally think the taste is good, because it is difficult to adjust to a strong taste. The environment is not luxurious but clean and sanitary. I read the reviews saying that the service is good, and I personally experienced it, and it is indeed well-deserved. I won’t talk about the delivery of vegetables and fruits. It is difficult for people who don’t know how to serve to have that kind of intimacy. I hope their business will get better and better. The bamboo fungus egg is my favorite.

You get what you pay for. This is the most comfortable meal in Xitang. Although the price is a bit expensive and you need to wait for a table (you can make a reservation by phone), the dishes and the presentation are good! Especially the bananas given as a gift are very creative. You can see that the store manager has put some thought into it, which makes you want to share it on WeChat Moments. The snails given as a gift are a bit spicy! The rice tastes good too. The staff is easy-going and enthusiastic during the meal. They will also ask about the dining experience. The most important thing is that there are baby dining chairs! This is so touching for people who travel with their kids that they will cry!

The service attitude is good, the food tastes good, the price is not expensive, and they also give Longjing tea, fried conch with sauce, and fruit salad. I feel embarrassed to eat. It is really not easy to maintain such a level in the scenic area. I wish this store can make a fortune.
