Taiwanxin Restaurant

It's a holiday, and family always needs to get together. This time, I sped off from Fuzhou to Lianjiang, where I visited a new Taiwanese restaurant recommended by a friend. It's next to the Jingjiang Hotel, with street parking available. The restaurant has been open for nine years, but it still looks quite new. We booked a private room in advance, complete with a tea table and private bathroom. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the fish balls were excellent. The service was pleasant, and the food arrived quickly. We ordered the must-try, raw, handmade fish balls, but they didn't wow us. While they were chewy, they lacked the fishy flavor and were just average. The hairtail rolls were unique, with sea-caught hairtail wrapped in meat and pan-fried. They had no fishy smell and were fragrant. The natural mussels, meat, and sauerkraut broth were delicious and light, refreshing. The fried fish noodles were excellent, with a nice, chewy texture. The square fish liver cost 188 yuan, and I ordered a small amount. It melted in my mouth and was delicious with a steamed bun. The fried eggplant, a new take on the dish, was crispy, lightly sweet, and quite good. The brown sugar rice cake is the most to my taste, with just the right sweetness and the lard making it particularly fragrant. Overall, it is suitable for banquets or gatherings with friends.
