The restaurant next to Macau Black Sand Beach is a good place to eat after strolling around the beach. It opens around lunch time, so you don't have to come early. The environment is good, the food is good, and the price is not expensive.

The Portuguese restaurant next to the Hac Sa Beach in Coloane is far from the city, but many people come here to eat there. There was a long queue before the restaurant opened. Fortunately, the restaurant is big enough. I don't know much about Portuguese food, but I think it tastes good.

The restaurant was very quiet, with only three tables of customers. The two of us ordered a roast suckling pig and a fried shrimp, which were very large portions, and four large breads were given as a gift. We went to the famous French Western Restaurant, which is on the map. Macau is so small. They are the only Western restaurant on the beach.

The traditional Putian dishes, roast suckling pig, baked crab, grilled fish, fried clams, tomato salad, and bread bigger than the head, are as delicious as they were ten years ago. The suckling pig is roasted fragrant and soft, and the taste is different from that in Hong Kong, a different flavor. The baked crab is roasted with butter and garlic to bring out the flavor. The grilled fish and salad are paired with soft and large bread, and I am satisfied with a glass of wine.

The small city of Macau is an entertainment and food paradise that I quite like. Every time I go on vacation, I must look for rare delicacies. There are countless famous seafood Chinese restaurants here, including Tao Tao Ju, Taipa Fishing Village, Long Hua Restaurant, Liu Ji, Fu Lin Ju, Huang Ji Bakery... Although Portuguese restaurants are spread all over the city, I personally feel that they are a bit too sweet (probably due to the copycat Portuguese dishes made on Macau Street in Guangzhou), and the flavors are not as rich as Chinese and Cantonese cuisine, so I seldom try them. It wasn't until I went on a trip to Coloane, Cheuk Wan Beach and Black Sand Beach that I came across this Portuguese restaurant on Black Sand Beach and decided to have lunch there. This changed my opinion of Portuguese food. The restaurant opens at 12 noon and is closed before that time. So there was already a slightly long queue at the door before 12 o'clock. After entering, I found that it was a red brick structure with an open-air courtyard and Portuguese-style decoration. There were window seats facing the sea and an open-air garden dining area. The owners are a Portuguese couple, and it is said that they have inherited the business from their family. After we sat down, we found that more and more diners came and the restaurant was full in a short while. After ordering, each person at each table will be given a free piece of toast and a small box of butter. Don’t rush to eat the bread. You must wait until the next dish is served before eating. This is the trick to eating Portuguese food. The dishes for the four of us were: curry prawns, fried clams, and tomato and vegetable salad. The large prawns are roasted with curry. The shells become crispy and the meat becomes fresh and fragrant when you put them in your mouth. The prawn meat flavored with curry instantly increases your appetite. It’s time to eat the toasted bread that has just been served. The bread is crispy and hard. After cutting it, dip it in the curry sauce with the prawns and you can eat it as a staple food. Next came the fried clams, each of which was about the same size and fried until they were just open, fresh and plump, and smothered in a spicy and sour garlic sauce that was both appetizing and refreshing. Of course, you still have to dip bread into the dipping sauce to satisfy your craving. The final tomato and vegetable salad was drizzled with olive oil and seemed to have vinegar added. It was sweet, refreshing and helped to remove greasiness and relieve stagnation. The portions are generous, and paired with bread as a staple (it turns out that bread can be refilled), it is more than enough. This kind of authentic Portuguese cuisine, prepared with care and skill, overturned my previous impression and it may be difficult to come across a second one like this.

There was a long queue before the restaurant opened, but luckily the place was big and everyone was able to get a seat as soon as it opened. After all, this place is far from the city, so there are not so many tourists coming here to eat. Two people can't order many dishes. I really like their bacalhau balls, which is the best I've ever eaten.

The best choice for dining at Black Sand Beach. The front is small, but the place is big inside, with a bar and a small garden, it's a different world! Roast suckling pig: The pig skin is so crispy and fragrant, it feels that the skin is more fragrant than the meat, squeeze lemon juice to remove the greasiness, with potatoes and lettuce. Roast shrimp: Add spices and a salty sauce, the taste is delicious, but it is salty. Fried clams: slightly spicy, the sauce is delicious. Bacalhau balls: cod mash and potatoes are baked, and spices should also be added. The taste is great! Sangria: Similar to red wine and juice, it reduces the alcohol content, and the taste is very refreshing with lemon and ice. The free bread is baked on the outside and tender on the inside, two large pieces, and you don't need to order the staple food. It's cheaper to pay by cash here than by credit card.

This restaurant is located near the Black Sand Beach. It serves authentic Portuguese cuisine. The fried codfish balls are very delicious. The pork buns are very big (pictures speak for themselves, haha). The restaurant environment has a strong exotic feel, and it is even more romantic on rainy days. The service attitude of the restaurant staff is also very good.
