Today, I went with my team to the Ninghai UTMB Cross-Country Challenge's finish line, Ximen Tower 🏁, to cater for the finish line (this marks Xiakeju & ​​Xiakeyuan's third year of participating in the event 🙂). The beef and potato stew was cooked by the chef early in the morning. The meat was cut into large chunks, leaving plenty of broth 🥔🥩, and it was absolutely delicious when mixed with rice. The yanggao (Chinese cake) was steamed perfectly warm, with a hint of sweetness, a traditional flavor beloved by locals (I brought it especially for runners, haha~). 🥬 The fendi didn't contain any seafood, as we're worried some runners might have allergies. Instead, it was thickened with meat, mushrooms, and tofu, resembling a homemade soup. When I served it to a runner, after just two sips, he remarked, "My stomach immediately feels better." There were also watermelon, blueberries, ginger tea, cola, and beer. I secretly tried them, but they were still the most popular. We'll be on guard at the West Gate Tower 💁, not pushing everyone to run faster, but hoping every finisher can enjoy a satisfying meal.
