Why drink a 48-yuan milk tea?!" 😭 —After all, the moment of licking an ice pop while waiting for the sunset at Coconut Dream Corridor is priceless! ✨ ------ The last bowl of coconut ice: While eating shaved ice at Xidao Fishing Village, the owner suddenly added an extra spoonful of red beans: "Girl, this ice melts slowly, so it's sweet—just like winter in Sanya. As a low-energy ENFP, my usual travel style is all about being carefree, relaxed, happy, and eating, drinking, and sleeping well. I did a very comprehensive Sanya travel guide, but actually only experienced 60% of it. If you have similar traits, feel free to refer to my guide! 🚶Itinerary 🌴Day 1: Arrival - Sanya Bay Coconut Dream Corridor - Fresh Mango Night Market I arrived in Sanya at 1 AM. After a 5-hour high-speed train and plane ride, I was exhausted. I went straight to the hotel and slept soundly until I woke up refreshed. I checked out the lawn at the Coconut Dream Corridor Seaside Hotel; it was so photogenic, I couldn't resist the beautiful scenery of the coconut groves and the sea! For lunch, I ate at Buzi Seafood nearby. The prices were clearly marked, so I didn't get ripped off. They even had a choice of spicy, which I, a Sichuan and Chongqing native, thought was great. In the evening, I went to the Fresh Mango Night Market to buy dresses for Xidao Island. They were 60 yuan each and quite photogenic. The ones advertised online for 100 yuan for three were a bit ugly, so I just picked out a few. 🌴Day 2: Xidao Island - Tianya Town I caught the first ferry to Xidao Island at 8 am. If you get seasick, remember to use motion sickness patches! There weren't many people on the island, so I rented an electric scooter to explore. I checked out the coral wall, the crooked coconut tree, and even met a photography buddy. We went to Niwangling together. The turtle stalls were charging admission, but they were all fake turtles, so I didn't go. If you get tired, you can find a cafe to rest and edit your photos, but I didn't try it, so I won't recommend it. At 4 pm, I went down to Tianya Town and chose a popular cafe for photos and to enjoy the sea view. There are many decorating styles to choose from, just pick one you like. The only downside is that 38 yuan per cup is a bit pricey. For dinner, we went to Nanhai Li Village near the hotel. We had a great view of the sunset from the outdoor seating area, and the food was fantastic. 🌴Day 3: Dadonghai - Luhuitou We slept in again, checked out, and went to Dadonghai Beach to check in. I put on the swimsuit I bought at Yiheng Night Market, took some beautiful photos on the beach, and even went for a swim! Dadonghai Beach is amazing—beautiful scenery, cleaner water than Sanya Bay, and lots of foreigners. It felt like a vacation abroad, which was a huge plus! In the evening, we went hiking at Luhuitou to watch the sunset. It wasn't tiring at all; we reached the top in less than 20 minutes, taking photos as we went. The mountaintop offers a panoramic view of Sanya Bay. The scenic area is free and beautiful – a definite 10/10! For those who can't climb, there's a cable car for 28 yuan per person. Dinner was nearby; prices at Dadonghai were a bit high, and the food was just average. 🌴Day 4: Xiaodonghai - Return Trip I bought a beach mat for 10 yuan and went to Xiaodonghai to relax and enjoy the slow pace of life. Arrived at 10 am, the sea breeze was incredibly refreshing, and the sea truly felt like glass – a Maldives vibe, perfect for photos! For lunch, I went to Xilezhaiyou, a place I'd been wanting to try, located near the China Duty Free Shop. The food was delicious, and the photos turned out great – perfect for both vacation shots and a sophisticated meal! After lunch, I browsed the duty-free shop. I didn't buy much, opting for the buy-and-get-it option, super convenient as I didn't have to go to the airport to pick up my purchases. 🏠Hotel Sharing Sanya Bay: I chose a guesthouse; a sea-view room in winter was only around 280 yuan – a pleasant surprise! However, it didn't meet my expectations, so I won't recommend any specific names. Dadonghai: I spent a lot of money to stay at the VOCO 5-star hotel halfway up the mountain. The facilities were new, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool offered a panoramic view of Dadonghai. The downside was that it was located halfway up the mountain, making it a bit inconvenient to get around. #SanyaTravelGuide #SanyaTravel #SanyaTourism
Why didn't anyone say this sooner?! Going to Nanshan Temple in Sanya just to touch the Buddha's feet is a huge waste 😭 The scenic area is full of free activities and souvenirs, but the staff never tell you about them; you have to discover them yourself!! ✅The scenic area is extremely sunny! Make sure to bring sunscreen in advance! Also, the Nanshan mini-train doesn't go back the same way; it only passes each attraction once, so don't miss anything you want to see. ✅Bring your own notebook, or buy one at the souvenir shop in the scenic area. You can collect various stamps for free, which are super meaningful souvenirs. ✅At the Thirty-Three Guanyin Hall, you can copy sutras for free to pray for blessings. Just put the copied sutras in the designated box; you can't take them home. ✅Ticket prices vary between peak and off-peak seasons. Adults are around 109 RMB; students and seniors over 60 get half price; children under 1.2 meters are free. If you want to see the whole scenic area, it's recommended to buy a sightseeing bus ticket. If you're only going to touch the Buddha's feet, you don't need to buy one; but if you're with kids or elderly relatives, definitely buy one—it saves a lot of effort. ✅Don't bring your own incense inside! Incense is free at all Buddhist worship sites. Don't buy the lamps sold by drivers outside; they're all scams. ✅ You can get 6 free Buddhist cards! Medicine Buddha Card, God of Wealth Card, Manjushri Bodhisattva Card, Guanyin Bodhisattva Card, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Card, and Maitreya Bodhisattva Card—all free, so don't miss them! ✅ You can take a boat tour around the Guanyin statue on the sea, with guided commentary. The boat ticket is around 100 yuan. Try it if you want to see Guanyin up close! ✅ There are free stamping cloths on the left side of the Yuantong Hall. Just queue up to get a 50-jin (25 catties) consecrated seal. If you don't want the hassle, you can buy a pre-framed one for 100 yuan. Go early! Once the stamps are used up for the day, they're gone; you'll regret it if you come late. ✅ Luggage can be stored at the entrance. Entry to the park stops after 5 PM, and the tour bus stops running at 6:30 PM, so don't arrive too late. ✅ You can get free fortune telling and interpretation at Nanshan Bieyuan. Again, go early! The master is very laid-back, seemingly appearing only when he feels like it, and his interpretations are brief, just a few words. It's best to just go with the flow. ✅ Don't forget to pray to the God of Wealth! The God of Wealth Temple is behind the Thirty-Three Guanyin Hall, so it's conveniently located. Pray sincerely for good fortune. ✅ Take bus number 55! It's fast and cheap. A taxi from Sanya city center would cost about 80 yuan. If you're driving, there's paid parking available for 8 yuan per day. ✅ Don't blow incense with your mouth, and don't step on the threshold when entering the temple. Practice civilized worship! Wearing revealing clothing may result in being asked to leave by staff; don't make a wasted trip. ✅There are hotels inside the scenic area. During peak season, a night costs approximately 1000 RMB, including admission and VIP access. Staying there allows you to see the Guanyin statue illuminated at 7 PM – a truly breathtaking sight. 🚗Sightseeing bus route: Gate of Non-Duality → Guanyin on the Sea → Nanshan International Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center → Thirty-Three Guanyin Hall → God of Wealth Hall → Nanshan Temple → Longevity Valley → Release Pond → Cihang Pudu Garden 🧧Free Buddhist services Card Collection Guide 🙏 Guanyin Bodhisattva Card and Medicine Buddha Card: Located in the side hall. You need to take off your shoes to enter. There is one on each side. 🙏 Maitreya Bodhisattva Card and Manjushri Bodhisattva Card: Located in the first main hall of Nanshan Temple. There is one on each side. 🙏 Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Card and God of Wealth Card: After leaving Nanshan Temple, walk a short distance to the left. There are two in the second main hall. 🍜 Food Recommendations: Food in the scenic area is generally expensive. There are vegetarian restaurants, averaging over 100 RMB per person. You can try them if you want to experience vegetarian food. If you don't know what to eat in Sanya, you can check out BuZaiKe Seafood, which I ate at these past two days. Their spicy crab noodles and seafood rice are quite good. Also, Aju's cold drinks and the Tanka Lao (a type of seafood dish) are pretty good! #SanyaSeafood #SanyaFoodRecommendations #SanyaFood #SanyaTakeout #YalongBayFood
