The yellow croaker noodles take a little longer to prepare, and come with a side of pickled vegetables, which are incredibly sweet. Their freshness is unlike any other crab noodles, and you'll have to experience them all! I'll definitely bring my friends here! I saw the elderly around me buying some to take home!
A new Shanghai noodle restaurant, they offer the original yellow croaker white broth noodles for 45 yuan each. For those who prefer the red broth, they offer a variety of mixed noodles with toppings. The crab roe topping is also a must-try: a small bowl of crab meat and roe topped with vinegar... just imagine! The only downside is the vinegar isn't authentic; I suggest they use Hengshun vinegar instead! Because the toppings are so expensive, the meal for two of us cost nearly 200 yuan.
I came here because of its reputation. This noodle shop is located on Sinan Road. It's a recommended restaurant by Meishilin and has been a Michelin-starred restaurant for three consecutive years, which shows how popular it is. I arrived right after it opened, so it wasn't crowded. The place is small, with only about a dozen tables, and it's very simple. I ordered the signature yellow croaker noodles, which were absolutely delicious! The small yellow croaker was fresh, the noodles were chewy, and the broth was flavorful. It's worth a special trip back.
