I booked a private room for my daughter's birthday a month in advance. The dishes were rich and tasted great. The lobster 🦞 was especially fresh, and the waiters were warm and thoughtful. I will come again next time 👍!
Apart from the service, everything else is really average, especially the tableware. When I sat down and saw the tableware on the table, I really suspected that I was in a restaurant in a scenic spot outside the city. The bowls and pelvis were greasy. Then I wiped them with disinfectant wet wipes, and the white wipes changed color. The dishes were also generally similar to home-cooked meals. I don't know if it was because of the group purchase and it had nothing to do with Amy.
This set meal looks fancy, but it's actually just average. The waiters were all very nice, but Shimao's usual stinginess is that the portions are very small. And the portions aren't huge. We were four people dining at a large table. The table next to us had seven or eight people. I'm dying of laughter, haha 😄 The scallops were so stingy—four in total, and they had to cut them in half. How stingy can this chef be?
The Le Royal Méridien Shanghai is located in the bustling Nanjing Road/Jiujiang Road area of Shanghai. It's a five-star hotel. It's always packed with people here; the location is just too good! As a Shanghai resident, I really enjoy it here and often dine at its various restaurants.
Staying near Nanjing Road is a great experience. Besides enjoying the night view, the hotel is also very cozy. With Christmas approaching, we can relax, have some good food, and attend a relative's wedding.
