I went with friends to Gucun Park in spring, hoping to beat the crowds last weekend before the Cherry Blossom Festival. But we found it was already packed. So, we took a quick stroll and headed to the nearby Harvest Day (Gucun Zhengda Branch) to start eating right away. 🔛 👉 While the restaurant didn't seem crowded when we arrived, the service was incredibly slow. 👉 We waited nearly an hour for a dish called "Deepwater Yellow Croaker in Pickled Mustard Greens Broth with Fish Ball Wontons." After numerous requests, the fish balls were finally served, as they were out of stock. Unfortunately, the taste didn't match the wait time. The combination of frozen items and hastily prepared dishes was unbelievable! 👉 The simple "Fried Stinky Tofu" was slightly better than expected, even though we had to wait a long time. 👉 Just saying, it's best to avoid old restaurants like this.
It was a great experience. Fortunately, I made an appointment online in advance, otherwise there would be a lot of people on weekends. It was worth my long wait. It was really good.
The place is big, and there are many people going there. The dishes are OK, and the taste is OK. Anyway, it is suitable for gatherings or something.
