I went to Hongziji with friends for dinner. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were equally impressive. With a per-person price around 100 yuan, we were not only satisfied but also delighted. We ordered the signature Hongziji. The skin was thin, crispy, and translucent, while the meat was tender and juicy. The meat was sweet, mellow, and firm, truly worthy of its signature flavor! Even more surprising was the scallion-oil broad beans. The aroma was palpable the moment they arrived. The bright color and plump, tender broad beans were soft yet slightly chewy, each one bursting with a natural sweetness that was truly mouth-watering! The salt-baked red snails are also a must-try. The meat was incredibly clean, thick, salty, and firm, making it incredibly easy to pick out! Qingtuan (Chinese glutinous rice dumplings) are a popular snack during Qingming Festival, and the Qingtuan here is quite unique. They're salty, with a mushroom filling, a rich, salty flavor, and a subtle aroma from mugwort. After finishing, I ordered two more to take home! Overall, a highly recommended Cantonese restaurant!
