Through the carved doors and windows and the gaps between the branches and leaves of the sycamore trees, you can feel the slow pace of life on the street downstairs. Unlike other hotpot restaurants, Jiyou uses white porridge as the base of the pot and only sprinkles a little salt. The taste of the hotpot is stimulated and blended by the ingredients chosen by the diners themselves. Aside from all kinds of fresh and fragrant seasonings, the freshness of the ingredients is very high. The seafood served on the table, such as the shrimp, is even fresh.

Jiyou congee pot is great value for money. The congee is light and not greasy, and tastes good. Thumbs up!
The congee-based hot pot was very refreshing and had a delicious flavor. The fish slices were very plump and tasty. Thumbs up!
📍People's Square, Shanghai|Several Shops with Their Own IP||| Three shops not far from People's Square, perfect for a day of dining in Shanghai on a weekend. Each one is a safe bet 😋 Zhu Guangyu is a place you can't possibly finish in one visit; you'll definitely need to go at least twice. The hot pot broth and desserts are absolutely amazing, but it gets very crowded on weekends. We went on a weekday at lunchtime, so there was no queue at all. Jiyou Congee Hot Pot requires a reservation by phone. The ingredients are incredibly fresh; remember to try a sip of the congee after you finish everything else. #WhereToGoInShanghaiThisWeekend #CheckInYOAroundTheWorld #RecommendedOffTheBessFreeSpots #DeliciousSnacksCollection #ShanghaiGuide
After returning to Shanghai from Chaoshan, I still couldn't stop craving congee hot pot. But finding an authentic congee hot pot restaurant was incredibly difficult! Until I discovered this place! 🤞❤️ Jiyou Congee Hot Pot Address: No. 446 Fangxie Road Average Price: 180 RMB Parking: Free on the street after 7 PM; 15 RMB per hour before 7 PM Reservations: Call the owner before 7 PM to reserve a table. After 7 PM, the queue starts! Food: Clams are a must-order – super fresh! Snow crab is a must-order! The crab legs are sweet and fresh, and paired with the restaurant's dipping sauce, it's absolutely amazing! Three-yellow chicken is a must-order! Super tender!
