yccuiI particularly like the various Chaoshan flavors here.
Not only are the braised dishes fresh and delicious, the braised duck, braised chicken, and braised eggs are all worth looking forward to.
Add a bowl of seafood porridge, and it's really authentic and delicious!

I made an appointment half a day in advance and it was actually available. It's quite far to walk from the North Square, but it's closer to Hanzhong Road Metro Station; The food was served very quickly, probably prepared in advance; The single meal was large enough, and two people ordered a Chaolu platter, which was very filling... The dishes were well matched, the barbecued pork in the cold dish was especially delicious, fat but not greasy, and the plums were sweet... Lotus Pond Fresh, a seasonal fresh vegetable, has many varieties, shrimps and lotus root slices wrapped together, very chewy; The Chaolu platter, 🈶️5 varieties, goose meat, goose gizzards, money tripe, etc., the portion is large, in order not to waste, I just finished the whole plate!
The restaurant is located across the street from Shanghai Railway Station, a quiet place in a busy city. Because it is close to home, I have been there many times. What impressed me most is that the quality of its dishes has been very stable. I feel that its chef is a chef who cooks with heart. Whether it is the taste or the color and presentation of the dishes, the waiter's introduction to the flavor, production characteristics, ingredient combination and dish shape of each dish allows customers to appreciate the color, aroma and taste of the dishes while also learning more.
I've eaten at this restaurant several times. The ambiance is lovely, the decor is elegant, and the service is impeccable. Tea and fruit are served immediately upon seating, and plates are replaced. Even when I'm packing up, they ask if I need help. Speaking of the food, the ingredients used are excellent, fresh, and beautifully presented. The osmanthus chicken rice is delicious, but the accompanying cake is a bit difficult to swallow. The crispy pigeon is delicious and was devoured immediately. The steamed pork ribs with garlic are rich and flavorful, and garlic lovers will definitely love them. The rest of the dishes were also good, and overall, they were quite good and of high quality.
March 26, 2019 Shanyuan is a Chaoshan restaurant located on the ground floor of Tower 1, Kerry Everbright Business Center. Transportation: Accessible via Metro Lines 12, 13, and 1, Hanzhong Road Station is convenient and efficient, and it's also near the train station business district. The restaurant's interior is elegant and sleek, creating a classy and upscale atmosphere. Aperitifs include fruit: cherry tomatoes, kumquats, prunes, and grapes. Single Set Meal Deep-fried mixed fish: small yellow croaker, horsehead fish, and sandfish. Deep-fried until golden and crispy, even the bones are edible, for a crunchy and fragrant flavor. The Three Treasures of Chaoshan Braised Dried Tofu, Braised Goose, and Braised Goose Gizzards, served with a vinegar dip. One Wagyu Beef Tart, absolutely must be eaten hot. The cheese coating creates a savory and sweet flavor. The seafood congee is generously prepared, with shrimp, crab, and scallops for a fresh, flavorful finish. The large pot probably fills four small bowls. The clams in sauce are a cold dish, drizzled with scallion, ginger, and garlic sauce. They're incredibly flavorful. A large plate of about 30 to 40 clams is a real treat! For a woman like me, this set meal alone is so good that I couldn't finish it all. I even took some to go and walked out leaning against the wall [laughing and crying] The restaurant staff were incredibly helpful. They proactively announced each dish and reminded us of its characteristics, including which dishes should be eaten hot. (PS: Takeaway box: 2 yuan)
It's about a 10-minute walk from the subway station. The ambiance, facilities, and service are all excellent. I went here for an event to try the dim sum set. It included seafood congee, fried sea fish, wagyu beef tart, clams in gravy, a marinated platter, and a pineapple bun. The swan-shaped barbecued pork pastry was a special gift for the ladies on Women's Day. The pineapple bun, seafood congee, and wagyu beef tart were the best and most memorable dishes.
I've always loved Chaoshan cuisine and even went to Fujian a few days ago. Naturally, I cherished this opportunity to dine for free. [Environment] The restaurant is located next to the former Xinke Station Never Sleeps City Mobile Phone Mall. It's now a small commercial plaza with a beautiful environment and exquisite decoration. It's very upscale! [Service] While quite professional, the details could be improved, otherwise it would be a bit out of place. [Dishes] Overall, they were quite good. They knew each dish came with a dipping sauce, although the dipping sauce could be improved. Figure 1 shows the set meal: the taste, portion size, and presentation were all excellent! The only thing that was lacking was the oyster omelet. The flour used instead of potato starch made it crispier and more beautiful, but it didn't bring out the freshness of the oysters. Using Lee Kum Kee's garlic chili sauce as a dipping sauce was too salty, which detracted from the oyster omelet's performance rather than adding to it. We also ordered the braised goose and roast pork, which were generally good. The goose was a little undercooked and not crispy enough. Also, shouldn't the goose slices be boneless and sliced? The roast pork dipping sauce was poor; I recommend cutting it into cubes instead of slices. These two dishes also had a fatal flaw: the plates were too large, and the dishes had to be carried too far, so they were cold by the time they reached the table. [Strong] The salty pancakes and mustard greens in soup truly embodied the essence of Teochew cuisine. Very satisfying!
