Small cuttlefish is selected and the heat is controlled with precision to the second to achieve such an ideal blanching effect. The ancient method of fresh yellow croaker soup is milky white and fresh; the fish meat is boneless and melts in the mouth. "Rong Xiansheng" is an authentic Fujian restaurant. The one we visited was tucked away on "European Style Street" in the Xujiahui Metro City, next to a pet shop. It was very easy to find. Looking inside, the place was packed, with several rows of people waiting outside, making your mouth water before you even tasted the food. Finally, our turn came, and we went in, took our seats, and ordered. The food came quickly, using an hourglass to count down the time. Only a few restaurants make such a bold promise. Applause here! [Applause][Applause] Personally, the best and most unique dish was the blanched squid. (The scientific name isn't mentioned, but it tastes a bit like baby squid, and it's cooked so fresh and tender. The cooking technique is absolutely superb! [Strong][Strong]) The ginger duck is also a top-notch Fujian dish, flavorful and nourishing, perfect for the elderly. The yellow croaker soup was delicious and generous; I couldn't stop eating it. The fried vinegar pork is another Fujian specialty, crispy yet not greasy, and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it. The shacha meat skewers were saturated with juice, slightly spicy, and appetizing, and the portions were generous. The skewers at other restaurants simply couldn't compare. Most importantly, their food is not only delicious, but also affordable, and the portions are generous. No wonder there's always a line of people waiting for a table!
Rong Xiansheng is also a popular Minnan cuisine restaurant. In the past, there were long lines at almost every mealtime. This time, I visited Rong Xiansheng in Metro City. It's conveniently located, has a simple atmosphere, and boasts fresh ingredients, promoting a healthy lifestyle! We promise to serve all dishes within 28 minutes, or you'll receive a complimentary traditional fried taro dates. The four fried taro dates look adorable, and the rich, soft, and glutinous taro flavor is a perfect appetizer! The steamed crab leg and taro meat patty is quite fragrant, with the taro and meat mixed together, and the crab leg meat adds a nice touch of flavor. The Minnan fried vinegar pork, served in a lunch box, was surprisingly delicious. The vinegar pork was very appetizing, fried to a crispy, tender, and flavorful texture. It was also served with pineapple and potato chips for a delicious bite! Our signature dish, fresh yellow croaker soup, is traditionally prepared and served warm over low heat. The broth is milky white and delicious. I had two bowls. If you find it fishy, add some pepper to enhance the flavor. The yellow croaker meat is tender and plump, and paired with cucumber and baby cabbage, I devoured it all. We also have fried squid with basil sauce. I've had blanched squid before and loved it, and this one is perfect for my heartier palate. The aroma is incredibly enticing, the squid are fresh, and the sauce is well-seasoned. It's a different flavor, but equally delicious! Blanched rapeseed hearts are fresh and refreshing, making for a great vegetable finish! During this special period, they provided disinfectant wipes and paper bags for masks. Such thoughtful details!

Some dishes can't be made without the ingredients... 🎀Their signature dish, "Traditional Fresh Yellow Croaker Soup," is something I've been wanting to try again. The soup is so delicious, I'll have two bowls to start! The fish is so tender. Delicious! But it feels like there's less fish than before... oops... it's not easy for businesses. 🎀"Basil Sauce Stir-fried Squid" The squid is quite tender, and the slightly spicy basil sauce really brings out the squid's flavor. 🎀"Steamed Pork Patties with Crab Legs and Taro" was better than I expected. We had to wait for a table on a weekday lunch break, but luckily we arrived early, which shows how popular this place is. The "Traditional Fresh Yellow Croaker Soup" is their signature dish, and it's truly delicious! The broth is so fresh, I ordered two bowls right away – it was amazing! The fish was so tender, almost boneless, and sliced nicely, with plenty of meat! A must-try! The "Authentic Boiled Squid" is a light seafood dish, and the squid is so tender! Authentic flavor! The "Childhood Shacha Meat Skewers" are like the tenderloin I used to eat after school [laughing and crying], and they're so good! The "Old-Fashioned Fried Taro Dates" are perfect for dessert! The taro paste is made into dates, and they're quite delicious. The "Soy Sauce Dry-Baked Jianzhen Bamboo Shoots" are so tender and fresh! The service is excellent, and I'll definitely come back often.
