The Jidi Congee has more pork tripe and liver, and the porridge is also delicious.

I've eaten at their restaurant before at the Home Depot, but Home Depot was renovated and this restaurant is gone. I happened to pass by Renguang this time, so I had a quick meal before going home. I ordered pork liver, pork chop with scallion oil and egg, and siu mai. The pork liver was very large but tender, and the pork chop was very filling. Two people couldn't finish it even with this little. The siu mai was full of meat, and the sauce was the same as the rice noodle roll sauce. I also packed a rice noodle roll to take home. There is a cat in the restaurant that is not afraid of people at all. We went there at lunch time, and there was no queue. There were fewer people than I expected.

The first time I came to Xiangjiang Mingyuan, I thought I didn't have to wait in line for a table. It turned out that I was too naive. The door was full of people [laughing and crying]. The pig stomach has a slightly chewy texture but it’s not chewy. ▫️Cheung Chau Shenggun Boat Congee｜I originally thought that the porridge itself tasted similar except for the ingredients, but it turned out to be really different! It has a completely different umami flavor when paired with seafood or offal. This one has a stronger ginger and scallion flavor. The same rice grains are invisible. Sprinkle with homemade white pepper powder. The combined taste of fish fillets, minced meat, shrimp balls and pig skin is enhanced

I ate there in the summer, choosing an afternoon time slot to avoid waiting in line. However, the restaurant is incredibly small, so we had to share tables, which I found unacceptable. The blanched pork liver was quite fresh, but the chunks were too large, and the sauce was quite salty. The scrambled egg beef rice was truly delicious, with both the beef and the egg tender. However, I wouldn't want to go back for more.
