Allen is a LeoI stayed at Wangwang's hotel on this business trip. I had the breakfast buffet and thought it was good, so I decided to eat at their Chinese restaurant for dinner. The auntie in the restaurant was very enthusiastic and talkative. She recommended several signature dishes and none of them were disappointing. When I checked out, I found out that there was an 12% discount! It was a really good and cheap meal~

Shanghai has no shortage of local cuisine, from 🪰 restaurants to private rooms with river views; from small alleys to large shopping malls... Taking stock of the places I've eaten at over the years, I've noticed some have closed, which is a shame, while others have opened branches. Excluding the Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine and the less-than-pretty ones, here are my top five 👉🏻 🔝5️⃣Longjing Shanfang·Jiangzhou Local Cuisine (Zhonghua Road Branch) This restaurant has only been open for less than a year, and the average cost per person is only 💯, so a meal for four is under 400 yuan. And this large table of food is both beautiful and delicious, enough to feed five or six people. It's a real bargain! ️ 🔝4️⃣ Chaopinji Business Banquet (Shenwang Hotel, Liuzhou Road) This Chinese restaurant, located on the first floor of the Shanghai Shenwang Hotel, has been open for 17 years. Their all-you-can-eat lunch buffet is only over 100 yuan per person. It's such a great value! 🔝3️⃣ JIANGNAN TALK (Bund Branch) This restaurant opened two or three years ago and now has a branch in Hongqiao. When I went there, the entire mall was deserted, but they're doing quite well. It's truly high-end and classy, and nearby office workers frequent it for lunch. 🔝2️⃣ Oriental Rongyan (1862 Shipyard Branch) After having it four years ago, I still can't forget their bowl of yellow croaker noodles. 😍 It was so fresh! ️And their pastries and snacks are so exquisite! They're simply works of art. It's right on the Pudong River, and the ambiance is truly classy. 👍 🔝1️⃣ Yuyuan BUND River View Restaurant (Wai Ma Road Branch) This restaurant is located in Warehouse No. 2 on Wai Ma Road, near the Bund. It boasts thirteen private rooms on two floors, each with a river view, including a panoramic view of the Lujiazui restaurant. This setting is truly delicious, and the food is already delicious. #Local Cuisine #Eat in Shanghai #Scenic Restaurant #Romantic Date Restaurant
Check out this buffet restaurant on the first floor of the Shenwang Hotel. The entrance to the restaurant inside the hotel has a very quaint, traditional Chinese feel. Sit down and order with the convenience of scanning a QR code. The selection isn't huge, but the quality is consistent and the taste is excellent! As a foodie with a small appetite, I forgo the main course and focused on the seafood, exploring almost the entire menu! Cold Dishes: Italian balsamic vinegar tomato 🍆 for a refreshing bite, Spicy squid 🦑good, The crispy dried radish 🧄with sauce is too garlicky, not recommended! Hot Dishes: Sesame salt fortune-bringing pork knuckle 🐷👋🉑, Black pepper spare ribs 🐖are too fatty, not recommended! Braised lion's head 🦁 is quite good 😘~ Seafood: Steamed yellow croaker 🐟 is small but tender, Tiger crab with shenggua (shenggua 🟰) is delicious 👅🉑, Boiled shrimp 🦐 are fresh, Deep-sea cod with chopped pepper 🐟 is white and tender, Deep-sea boneless fish in tomato sauce is similar to squirrel sea bass, Braised egg with small abalone 👅 is delicious, Stir-fried razor clams in typhoon shelter 🉑, Crispy shrimp balls with nut salad 🍤 (huge shrimp ❗️), Shark's fin with chili sauce 🪽 is plump and tender, Pepper and sesame chrysanthemum eyefish 🐙 is the only one 🈵🈵 in a large plate 😋, spicy and delicious! Dessert: Lily and mung bean soup 🍃 Refreshing and slightly sweet, I had two small bowls. Coconut milk tortoise jelly 🥥 is a bit sweet! Shanghai store manager 👨💼's recommended hidden menu 🫥: Drunken crayfish 🦞 that gets even more addictive! Just a heads-up, I'm not a heavy drinker, hahahaha 😆~ #buffetguide #buffet #seafoodbuffet #crayfish #foodieseason
Want Want, the childhood snack king 🍭, has finally opened a hotel! 🏨 It's located on the first floor of the Shanghai San Want Hotel, and it even houses two restaurants! Yesterday, I made a darling trip to the more hidden, upscale, and elegant local cuisine spot, 👉🏻 Chaopinji Business Banquet (Shen Want Hotel, Liuzhou Road). The lunch buffet was a real gem! 💎 🔥 Highlights first: 💰 Explosive value: The à la carte lunch buffet is all you can eat for just 128r per person ❗️ More than half the price of many five-star hotel buffets, and the taste and nutrition are even better! 👏 🍴 No pre-prepared meals: Everything is cooked to order! 🔥 While some popular dishes require a bit of a wait (worth it!), they're all served piping hot, and their health and deliciousness are undeniable! ✅ 🦀️ Top-notch ingredients: The tiger crabs are incredibly fresh! The meat was tender and sweet, and the quality was palatable! 🦀️ The seasonal vegetables were also refreshing and delicious, perfect for summer meals~🥬 🎯 Exquisite à la carte dining: No big pot meals! Order whatever you want, and the portions are thoughtfully designed. Some dishes (like the refreshing vegetables) are small, which is perfect for trying more; but for dishes like the tofu, which are substantial, I recommend going easy. I was greedy and wanted the braised pork, but ended up being so stuffed with the sturdy eggplant and tofu... I had to give it up [tears] (I'll definitely order it next time!) 🌟 Ambience & Service: The restaurant is located on the inner ground floor of the hotel, a quiet and elegant place amidst the bustle. Perfect for business dinners or small gatherings with friends~ 🍽️ Lunch wasn't crowded, and the experience was fantastic! The waiters were incredibly diligent in clearing the plates👍, and at 1:30 they even kindly reminded me, "The chef's almost on break, would you like a last-minute order?" Their customer service was truly amazing! 👏 💥 Key Points Want Want Hotel + authentic local cuisine + 128r + all-you-can-eat freshly made dishes + no pre-prepared dishes + attentive service = an incredibly cost-effective combo! 💣💥 A long-standing establishment, beloved by local foodies! Shanghainese-certified deliciousness👍! How come this hidden gem hasn't caught on yet? I won't let you miss it! Just go check it out! 🏃♀️💨 📌 Tips: 📍 Address: Chaopinji Business Banquet, 1st Floor, Shenwang Hotel, Liuzhou Road (find the one with the slightly hidden entrance!) ⏰ Recommended Time: Lunch Buffet (The best value!) 💡 Must-Tries: Tiger Crab, Seasonal Vegetables, Braised Pork (my next goal!) #AuthenticBenbangCooking
Transportation: It is very convenient to take the subway to Chaopinji Business Banquet. You can see the sign of San Want Hotel when you get out of Guilin Road Station on Line 15. It takes only three minutes to walk to the hotel! The transportation is very convenient! [ThumbsUp] #ShanghaiExploration Features: Chaopinji Business Banquet is cooked to order, and you can eat all you can during lunch. Chaozhou cuisine is known for its seafood. It focuses on the freshness and original flavor of ingredients, and emphasizes "clear but not light, fresh but not fishy, rich but not greasy". [1 person]Dishes: #bonelessfish I ordered abalone stewed eggs, boneless fish in tomato sauce, lily yam porridge, tiger crab claws and other dishes. They all use traditional cooking methods and are quite standard! [Cute] My favorite is actually yam lily porridge. From the perspective of health preservation, such health ingredients are the most popular! Light and rich in nutrition! The boiled shrimp is a bit cold, and the shrimp meat is firm and chewy, very fresh! The fish cake is a cold dish, and the taste is average, and the freshness of the fish meat is not tasted! Environment: The restaurant is located on the east side of the hotel lobby, adjacent to the outdoor lawn. The floor-to-ceiling bay window design creates a sense of transparency. Guests can choose to dine at an indoor round table or on the terrace. There are 17 private rooms on the second floor, which are luxuriously and elegantly decorated, suitable for high-end business banquets! Service: In general, the service is still very good. I ate for an hour and changed the bone plate three times. They would ask about the dishes from time to time. I said that the shrimp was a little cold, and they immediately said to make me a new one. I declined! Because of their enthusiasm [love], I felt the sincere service! Value for money: Chaopinji provides the service and dishes of a four-star hotel at an affordable price, with outstanding value for money!
