I haven't been here for a long time, until recently, when I found that I had eaten at almost all the new restaurants in Hong Kong Hui, so I came here again. This choice makes sense, although I was not familiar with Taizhou cuisine before. I found that the mapo tofu was well made, especially for restaurants of this level, which are now reluctant to make such dishes that cannot be sold at high prices; the sand garlic bean noodles were the first time I tried them, and they must be eaten while hot. They felt like rice noodles dipped in peanut butter, and the taste was good. A small portion is enough, but a large portion is a bit greasy; the pan-fried hairtail fish was excellent, and other restaurants of the same level may be more than 50% more expensive; the crispy veal was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the first bite was a bit amazing, but after a few more bites, it was still not as good as the one in Shanghai Beach Restaurant, and the price was also expensive; the oyster omelet was a bit over-oiled. Overall, the food was good, but we came early this time and the food came too fast. Before we finished the first slice of fried hairtail, all the other dishes came one after another. It is probably positioned mainly for business banquets, and it is a bit expensive, so when I passed by it on a weekday at noon, I felt that the business was far less than the other few restaurants next door. Finally, I had the opportunity to come here a few times recently, and I deliberately picked some varieties that I have never eaten before. The bullfrog in the Typhoon Shelter was tender, the morel mushroom steamed buns were delicious, and the even better one was the Mapo tofu, which was very appetite-opening. I also tried the beef fried rice, which seemed to be the only variety that could be eaten by one person. Unfortunately, the quantity was a little less, and the price seemed to have increased. I remember it was 55 yuan when it opened, and now it is 59 yuan, which is a bit expensive for a work lunch.
