Visiting Weihai in winter, my first stop was Hanlefang. This area has the highest concentration of Korean restaurants in Weihai, making it very convenient for tourists to eat and explore. Here are a few restaurants I tried that I found quite good: 🍲 Chocolate Fisherman's Restaurant This restaurant serves live seafood. The shrimp were still moving when the seafood steamer was served, and the meat was very firm after steaming. The steamed grouper was cooked to perfection; the meat easily fell off the bone with chopsticks. The potstickers with fried chicken were delicious with the broth, the sea cucumber rice was very flavorful, and the seafood meatballs were lighter and more refreshing than regular meatballs. Overall, it had a home-style cooking feel, and I had a very satisfying meal. 🥩 Jixi BBQ This is one of the more popular restaurants in Hanlefang. The meat is marinated, so it's flavorful even without dipping sauce after grilling. I especially liked their beef brisket; grilled to a slightly charred perfection and eaten with lettuce, it wasn't greasy at all. 🥟 **Shanhou Seaweed Buns** Seaweed filling is a Weihai specialty. The buns have thin skin and plenty of filling, bursting with fresh flavor with every bite. A warm bun in winter is incredibly comforting. 🍢 **Xianzhi Yakitori Pavilion** A Japanese skewer shop. The chicken and scallion skewers and grilled chicken skin are both excellent, cooked to perfection, with a sweet and savory sauce. Perfect for a relaxing break after shopping, a few skewers, and some hot soup. 🍲 **Zhang Xiaoer Hot Pot** A well-known local hot pot restaurant. The lamb is of good quality, and the clear broth allows you to taste the natural flavor of the meat. The sesame sauce is pre-mixed and perfectly seasoned. 🍕 **Hello Pizza** Surprisingly, I found a great thin-crust pizza in Hanlefang. The crust is crispy, and there's plenty of cheese. I recommend the seafood pizza; it's generously topped. There are many other delicious restaurants in Hanlefang, but these are the ones I found consistently good and reasonably priced. The seaweed filling is fresh and smooth, with hidden shrimp and sea cucumber for added flavor. 🌮Neighboring Village Erni Vegetable Pancake (Affordable and Filling) The pancake is thick and crispy, becoming more fragrant with each chew! Vegetables are self-selected, fresh, and plentiful, making it healthy and worry-free. One pancake with a bowl of thick porridge is enough to fill you up. 🍣Korean Udon & Seaweed Rice Roll (A Must-Have for Korean Food Lovers) The seaweed rice rolls are incredibly generous with their fillings! Tuna and salted egg yolk flavors are bursting with ingredients in every bite, and the sauces are plentiful.
