Wuyi Taste

This is a restaurant frequented by locals. It is far from the scenic spot, so the customers who come here to eat are mainly local families. The menu is mainly based on the dishes prepared by the on-site store. You can order whatever you see. There will be a handsome guy waiting for you to order. They will not charge you just because you are a foreigner. It is a restaurant worth recommending. It is recommended to take the scenic area bus to the north entrance before the bridge is repaired, and then walk there. You can also see locals picking tea on the way. If you want to buy, please ask the price first. It is mainly to buy rock tea, and other things are not recommended. For those who have dinner, you can call Didi to take a taxi back to the hotel.

This is my second time to Wuyi Mountain this summer. I chose Wuyi Taste without hesitation. The boss and his wife are amiable and the dishes are delicious. I tasted the local characteristics of Wuyi Mountain, especially the duck soup and sesame fruit. They were delicious. I also ate the seasonal rice carp. It was great.

Wuyi Taste’s specialty is squid Wuyi dishes. Wuyi cuisine belongs to the northern Fujian cuisine. It is spicy, oily, and strong in flavor. I personally feel that the taste is close to Jiangxi cuisine. The ingredients used more often are river fish, mountain delicacies, poultry and mushrooms. A friend recommended this restaurant to us when we went to Wuyi Mountain, and we were not disappointed. It is highly recommended!

I particularly like the Wuyi-style food. The owner is very friendly and the service is thoughtful. The price is low and the food is good.

This is a restaurant mainly frequented by locals, and it was still quite crowded even after the peak dining hours. If you value the taste and quality of the food, and can tolerate some shortcomings in the environment and service (smoking, cleaning while you eat, no tea, no hot water for rinsing dishes as is common in the area), this is an ideal destination. We ordered beef trotters, stir-fried pork belly with bamboo shoots, fried glutinous rice balls, and potato pancakes. I must say, the chef's skills are superb, and the ingredients are of high quality; the food was completely local and undeniably delicious.
