Every year when I come to Guo'en Temple, I must go to this farmhouse restaurant. This year, I will continue. The environment is very good, and you can see the large-scale fireworks display at night, which is awesome. Boss Liang's products are always good. The steamed chicken is the best chicken I have ever eaten. This time, I ordered the abalone slices fried with snow peas recommended by the boss, which tastes great too 👍🏻👍🏻

We went to Yunfu Xinxing Tourism and came to the Liuzu Hometown Tourism Resort. Behind the back garden of the hotel villa where we stayed, there was a small hill. At night, we looked up and saw a farmhouse restaurant on the hill. We drove over the next night. The way up the mountain is a bit difficult to find. Tourists who are not familiar with it will go around like us. You can go up the mountain from the road next to Guoen Temple all the way to the top of the mountain (the mountain is not high). There is a village there. You can see signs guiding you to walk in and go to the farm. The farm is the best place to watch the sunset. There is a floating platform. You can sit and drink tea and watch the sunset. The trees next to it are blooming. Some vegetables and fruits are ripe. The environment is quiet, but you must pay attention to mosquito prevention. {Boiled Chicken}, the chicken is not big, just right for the four of us. It is not free-range chicken, but caged, but the chicken is quite fresh, the chicken skin is relatively yellow, very refreshing, and the cooking temperature is just right. Just dip it in some sauce and eat it. {Beef offal stew}, recommended by the lady boss, tastes OK, but there are a little more beef lungs, and all the offal is cut into small pieces, I think it would taste better if it's a little bigger. The taste is very strong, quite tasty, and it's stewed well, with some colorful onions and green peppers, it's OK. {Braised fish head with bean curd skin}, the local bean curd skin in Xinxing is delicious, not easy to be overcooked, and tastes a little chewy, with a very fragrant bean flavor. The fish head is a little worse, it feels like there is no whole fish head, and the most slippery parts of the fish head seem to be missing, the overall taste is lighter. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the farm, and there are some small insects at night, so it's best to be prepared, you can ask the store to light mosquito coils under the table, but their mosquitoes are too bad, and they burned a cake in half a meal, and then it was over.

After getting tired of city life, I long to explore the mountains and breathe in the essence of nature. This time, I drove with friends to Yunfu, Guangdong, to escape into a secluded paradise and experience a weekend getaway deep in the mountains. Day 1: Yunfu East Station - Longwantan My friends and I took the high-speed rail from different locations to Yunfu East Station. We rented a car at the station and began our three-day, two-night road trip. ⛺️After buying food in Xinxing County, we quickly headed to Longwantan for camping and found a campsite for hot pot. It was getting dark when we arrived. The campsite was by a stream. The owner was very tasteful, and the small lights were so atmospheric that every photo was a masterpiece. Listening to the gurgling water, chatting over a hot pot, it was the perfect way to spend a relaxing weekend! ⛰️We stayed in a cabin near Fengche Mountain in Xinxing that night. There was a mahjong table, perfect for four people. The room was well-insulated, so we slept soundly. Day 2: Guo'en Temple - Xiangshun Elephant's Nest Hot Spring Hotel ☕️Young people always worship Buddha when traveling. Early in the morning, we checked out the Cibei Coffee Shop next to Guo'en Temple. Its modern Chinese decor is stunning. Their lattes are excellent, and the Americano has very sour beans. There's no entrance fee to Guo'en Temple, so it's not crowded in the morning. Just strolling in and soaking in the Zen atmosphere is quite relaxing. We had lunch at Shixing Farmhouse Restaurant, located on the hill behind Guo'en Temple. The food was a little slow to arrive, perhaps because the vegetables were freshly picked, but the flavor was beyond our expectations. ♨️We set off for the Elephant's Nest Hotel around 3:00 PM. The air felt cooler and fresher on the way up the mountain. We stayed in the Cuishan Pavilion, a two-bedroom, one-living room apartment with complete amenities, very clean, and a lake view. The recommended time for the hot springs is between 6 and 7 PM, when there are fewer people and it's still light, allowing us to watch the sunset over the mountains. The cool mountain air is perfect for a hot spring soak. The purpose of this trip was to go to Fengche Mountain to watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds.
