Penglaichun is a traditional old brand in Yantai. The nine-turn large intestine is super delicious, sweet but not greasy, and I must order it every time I come. There is also the sea intestine rice that you will never miss no matter which restaurant you go to for dinner. It was a delicacy that I often ate when I was a child, but it is a bit extravagant when I grow up. I like to eat soft fried oysters, which are fragrant and delicious. A must-have for foodies! The price is also acceptable and the service is very thoughtful.
Penglaichun, a time-honored Shandong cuisine restaurant, is well-known in Yantai and has a good reputation among nearby residents. My friends and I chose to dine here together. The soft-fried oysters, seafood family portrait, and leek and sea cucumber here are delicious and leave a lingering taste. Compared with the dining environment and decoration here, the price is not expensive and the dining experience is comfortable.
I heard from a friend that it is a century-old restaurant that serves Shandong cuisine, so I came here to try it. On the wall of the staircase corridor, there is a sign that reads "Penglaichun, a century-old restaurant, proud of Shandong cuisine". It is quite popular, and the hall is full of people. Fortunately, we have made a reservation. The dishes are large, taste good, and the price is quite affordable. However, the sanitation and service level need to be improved. After I sat down, I actually saw a cockroach on the floor, and the air-conditioning remote control in the private room was broken.

It is said that this restaurant's braised noodles are the specialty, but when I came, it was late and only the homemade braised noodles were left, so I tried to order a homemade braised noodles and a snow Vegetable and shredded pork noodles, [Home-style braised noodles] is a braised dish with cabbage, black fungus and eggs. The noodles are very chewy and the soup is quite fresh. In fact, the ingredients of this noodle include all the elements I don't like, but the taste is okay and acceptable to me. [Snow vegetable and shredded pork noodles] The taste is lighter, and the shredded pork seems to have been processed in advance and is relatively tender. For noodles, it's okay. In fact, it's not as delicious as the legend says, but it's okay. Time is tight. Next time I have a chance to come to Yantai, I may come again to try their stir-fried dishes...
The food at Penglaichun is good, and it is cheaper than some of the restaurants nearby. I won't name the restaurants nearby because it's difficult to find them. I've been there many times. The restaurant is not far from Nanshan Park. The photos I posted are from the Spring Festival this year. The set meal I chose is 128/person, and I forgot to take photos of many dishes. Please forgive me. If you order a la carte, the price is different. You should order early during holidays, otherwise there may be no seats.
