First go to the store to select, weigh and pay the bill, then go to the restaurant opposite to have hotpot. The taste is okay, the environment is average, and the price is not cheap.

[Taste] The beef offal hotpot isn't for everyone. The broth has a medicinal feel, which helps to reduce the smell of mutton. I ordered beef tripe, beef tongue, beef brisket, beef lungs, beef tendon, and beef small intestines. The small intestines were rich and delicious. [Environment] A small roadside stall with no real ambiance. [Service] The service was average. They spoke Cantonese, but I couldn't understand much.

Zhanjiang's Chikan Old Street is famous for being the filming location of the TV series "The Hidden Corner". The alleys and long streets with a long history and concentrated on the Nanyang architectural style can vaguely see the prosperity and noise of the past. The heavy sense of history makes people feel peaceful and serene in their hearts. The old walls and old buildings eroded by wind and rain are imprinted with the mottled years, which forms a sharp contrast with the young men and women wearing Hanfu travel photography. I had dinner at the most famous "Sijie Niuza" in the old street, which was considered a taste of local characteristics. The taste was not bad.
I've heard that no Zhanjiang resident can resist the allure of beef offal—whether it's for dinner, late-night snacks, or even breakfast. Even I, a visitor from out of town, was no exception. On my last day in Zhanjiang, I planned a leisurely tour of Chikan Old Town. At noon, I made a special trip to Sijie Niuza on Zhongxing Street. Sijie's business is apparently doing well. They have three locations across the alley: one for the kitchen and two for dining. It's a typical, everyday restaurant. Beef offal is 50 yuan per pound, regardless of cut. Tell the waitresses which cuts you prefer, and they'll cut more for you. However, being my first time there, I didn't recognize most of the cuts, and inevitably wanted to try everything, so I over-ordered. Vegetables are sold by the basket for 18 yuan, and you can choose any of the various vegetables you want. After ordering, find a seat at one of the other two locations. The waitresses will cut the beef offal, put it in a pot, and serve it to you, along with the essential dipping sauce. Each beef offal restaurant offers a limited selection of condiments: broad bean paste, sweet bean paste, chopped chili peppers, chili oil, garlic, and garlic chili sauce—that's all. However, the essence lies in the specialty broad bean paste, which is arguably the soul of the beef offal. The beef offal is cooked in a clear broth, and after it boils, a bowl of fragrant beef offal soup is a must. The offal is generally cooked until tender and juicy, though some may be a little tough. If you can't finish it, you can take it away; the flavor only grows with cooking.
