Cafe Comptoir Brunet, have a French brunch. The snails are actually quite delicious and not very expensive. They are quite delicate but not luxurious.

The service is great, and they serve old-fashioned traditional dishes.

It was really great ! Typical Lyon&rsquo;s food that we don&rsquo;t eat very often. Home made and tasty. Service was also excellent, We had a wonderful lunchtime there!

Simply put, did not meet expectations established by Anthony Bourdain. Charming French country decor and wonderful service.  Worth while for the bouchon experience.

I had the pleasure of having dinner at this beautifully decorated high-end restaurant. I was traveling toute seule. I have felt compelled to write something at the risk of encouragement to other seekers of quality dining. Two words are only required. Fantastic. And value. I have been lucky enough to dine in many Michelin awarded establishments all over the world. This place takes some beating!  Let&#39;s start with the welcome. Fabulous. The menu was a wonderfully chosen mix of tasty treats. I chose a fois gras. With some brilliant sides of flavorsome sauces. And a sweet rocket salad. This is the best fois I have had in Lyon. The chef, Ivan, had already introduced himself with a ready smile and warm handshake. I had already asked him to choose a win to accommodate my choices of food that I had in mind. Ivan didn&#39;t disappoint, and neither did he with the main of melt in the mouth beef. Loaded with truffle and a rich sauce to accompany the mash. It was so good that I used the bread to clean my plate! I had a cheese selection to finish, which was also superb. It was simply wonderfully simple. And unbeatable value. I took luncheon across the road at a two Michelin star restaurant for lunch. I can honestly say that although that was excellent, in terms of value,  this was ten times better. And more fun. One of the best places in Lyon. This was fine dining, fun and a wonderfully entertaining evening. I highly recommend this little gem. Thanks, Ivan and the team.

Beyond memorable. At one point, younger and spending a significant amount of time in the country, I could hold a conversation. Now, I barely can mispronounce my own name. Were I able to speak, I&#39;d probably still be at L&#39;Alexandrin talking with chef/owner Rigal who, along with an equally competent colleague, worked the room all night. Each course exceeded that of the previous one and the wine pairing was generous. Very generous. Ok, very, very generous! An amazing evening, worth every Euro and one that we won&#39;t ever forget. Now, if only I could remember how too speak French.

If only the owner had a smile while greeting us it would have been better because I didn&rsquo;t feel welcomed! Service was nice and satisfying.

We are an American family of four that love good food and wine. We loved the dinner and experience. The owner took our order and let me know that my American accent was butchering his language... I dropped my head in shame; but it was all good fun. The sweet breads, pork cheek, EVERYTHING were all delicious! We are so glad we made reservations and dined here. You will nor be disappointed.
