All the novelty about this is hype and hype only. Arrived on a Sunday evening, asked for a Guinness and a alcopop as I had a woman with me. They don’t serve them which is completely fine but the smug attitude I got from the barman when I asked for this. I then asked for a vodka and he slammed the Guinness down in front of me which must have been pre poured cos it was settled and in a greasy glass. Roared cash or card at me twice. Very ignorant. I didn’t hold it against them when I was trying my pint but it was no nicer than any Guinness I’ve got anywhere else and if I was to be critical it was tangy. The place was old skool Irish and it talked the talk but it’s just another bought and paid for over hype, it was one member of staff who was rude so I won’t paint them all with the one brush. Won’t be returning, nor will it bother them as it’s a novelty spot.

Loved our visit!
Simply the best Guiness we tasted on our short visit to Dublin. Atmospheric and friendly. You can literally "feel" the history. Ev (I think I have that right) made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our interactions with her. Our friends who incidentally had their first drink together here 35 years ago enjoyed revisiting their memories and we enjoyed making our own. Thank you!
