Auditore Ristorante Braceria

We went for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised—everything was excellent.So, of course, we had to come back for dinner to try the famous "Fiorentina". What can we say? Amazing. The "pici all'aglione" were also delicious.

We go to Florence a lot. When I saw this restaurant my first impression was that it was a tourist trap. However, when I walked inside, I was presently surprised by a beautiful restaurant. The food and service were excellent as well. I would not hesitate to go back.

We chose this restaurant for two reasons – its excellent rating and its closeness to the Palazzo Vecchio. When we made the reservation on The Fork, we discovered we would also be getting a 30% discount on the food, which was a lovely surprise. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shown to a table inside. Our waiter was Edison. He has been in Italy for over 25 years and was originally from Albania. He was really great! We each enjoyed Ribollita alla Florentina to start. It is a Tuscan bread soup made with bread and vegetables and was delicious. My husband is a beef lover and what better place to enjoy beef than in this restaurant. He had the beef filet with Gorgonzola and walnut sauce while I enjoyed a plate of grilled vegetables – all accompanied by an excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Alto Adige. My husband had a Chocolate Panna Cotta for dessert. We highly recommend Edison and this restaurant.
