As a non-picky foodie, I ate 19 meals in 5 days in Kota Kinabalu, and was really pissed off by these two restaurants 🙅 Public execution From Gaya Street to Tanjung Aru and then to Papar Town🤤 The lower the ranking, the more delicious it is ⭐ ❌Lucy's Kitchen (Tanjung Aru): The 77 ringgits in the picture are not expensive, but the dishes are very slow and the order is missed. The satay skewers were lukewarm after waiting for 40 minutes. I'll give 1 star to the sea view ❌Daqielai Seafood Restaurant: I ate raw oysters, which were terrible. Two large portions for 34 Malaysian dollars are too much for four people. I recommend the tea series because it is not too sweet. ✔Shengyuan Tea House: A hearty breakfast for 58 Malaysian dollars. Raw and cooked eggs are cooked to order. Local neighbors eat here, but it is too far away. ✔Food for everyone: The first seafood meal was amazing. We arrived early and there was no queue. The seafood ingredients were all very fresh. A table of 230 Malaysian dollars is absolutely cost-effective. The only thing I couldn't get used to was the Asam fish fillet and fermented bean curd meat recommended by the diners at the next table. Asam tasted a bit like sweet and sour curry, which was appetizing but not a favorite Southeast Asian flavor. ✔Leslie Cafe: The last meal was still lined up at 9pm, the taste was pretty good, and there was free durian ice cream. I couldn't eat seafood anymore, so I ordered tofu, fish maw soup, butter chicken and spare ribs. The best thing was the tofu, which tasted like egg tofu with braised meat, and it was a good deal at 99 MYR. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✔Kota Kinabalu Central Market: 4.5 stars, it deserves it❗0.5 stars deducted because most stalls can only pay in cash and the environment. The highest score here is entirely due to the support of peers. There are all kinds of seafood in the market, tiger shrimp 80-100 MYR/blue crab 15-20 MYR (restaurant price 220/33 MYR), tree vegetable 2 MYR. After shopping, I went to the No. 29 stall on the second floor of the market to process 4 dishes for 44 Ma, and the ingredients for 110 Ma. The black pepper sweet and spicy crab was super delicious.
