Rangoon Tea House

This place was one of the best authentic burmese restaurant in down. You can get most of the burmese food there and should also go to its sister restaurant called Buthee restaurant.

Passing by this place, the map shows that this restaurant sells local Burmese specialties. I thought it was an antique storefront, but judging from the appearance, it should be a cafe shop. I confirmed it at the door before entering. The store is not very big and has two floors. There are many people on the first floor, all of them are Europeans and Americans. I went to the second floor. The lights are dim and there is a bit of atmosphere. The seats are not high and very comfortable. The waiter was very enthusiastic to guide us to the seats and handed us the menu. The menu is very distinctive. At first glance, it is just a few pieces of cut-up torn newspapers. It has a sense of age and fits the name of the restaurant "Rangoon, the replacement name of Yangon during the British colonial period". The menu is densely packed with small words. Under the recommendation, I ordered the so-called local meal, curry shrimp, pork neck, tea salad, etc. The dishes are not amazing. It can only be said that the local meals that are not very delicate are packaged to be more in line with the eating habits and tastes of Europeans and Americans, "Burmese food is eaten in the West". If you have a chance, you can come and try it. The waiter's English needs to be improved. Sprite repeated it several times and pointed out the menu before I understood it. The final bill was over 100 per person, which was a bit expensive.

#Tea leave salad, classic, good presentation and taste # Mohinga noodle, not good. Don't order the set meal. The menu has a lot of things, but it only comes with a small plate of fried food, and the oil used is not fresh. (See photos) If you want to eat, I recommend Excelsior Hotel, Steel Brothers Wine & Grill. # I also ordered a tea pork, which was terrible.

The fish noodle soup is delicious. The projector in the restaurant plays some classic Burmese short films, which are quite interesting to watch while eating.

A nice tea restaurant, I like their decoration design very much, the staff are also very attentive, I spent an afternoon with friends, eating, drinking and chatting, it was quite pleasant
