Boat Noodle Ao Nang & Thai food

This is a roadside snack bar in Thailand. The prices of the items are super cheap. 50 baht is basically enough for a dish. The rice noodles are well made and feel a bit similar to the vermicelli in China.

It was a great dining experience. The overall shape of the restaurant is a boat. In Ao Nang, the food tastes very good, and they provide some fruits. Although not much, it is not expensive in Thailand, but it is a very touching little detail.

The surrounding environment is very good, with both beaches and rain showers. You can spend almost a whole day here to have a meal and then walk around. The most authentic food is seafood, which is very fresh and cooked right after being caught.

Aonang Boat Noodle may seem like an insignificant little shop, but the food it makes is indeed an unexpected surprise. The restaurant opened more than ten years ago and initially only sold boat noodles. Later, it gradually added different food menus in response to customer requests. Thai boat noodles are as common as Chinese Yangchun noodles, and are also one of the most economical foods. They are mainly divided into pork and chicken. The soup base here is thick but not greasy. The special thing is that the shop also provides pork cartilage and beef, which is rare in general boat noodle shops. I believe that pineapple fried rice is one of the must-eats for many Chinese people when they go to Thailand. The pineapple fried rice here is to put the fried curry rice on the pineapple shell and then bake it, so it will be drier. In addition, the portion is really amazing, one portion is enough for two people. The seafood green papaya salad is particularly fragrant, because it turns out that the cashews here are abundant in Thailand instead of ordinary peanuts. Moreover, the shrimp and squid are purchased by the boss lady in person at the market every day to ensure freshness. The fried shrimp cakes here are made by the boss lady using a recipe to adjust the amount of pork, chicken and shrimp meat, and then add seasonings and cover them with breadcrumbs, which are crispy and delicious.

Ao Nang Boat Noodles is a good value restaurant in Ao Nang. Mina recommends beef noodle soup. The small one is 50 yuan and the large one is 60 yuan. It is located next to Centara Grand Beach Resort. It is very cost-effective and tastes good.

On the main street of Ao Nang, not far from the beach, the store is small but very unique, with a straw house, very Southeast Asian style. The taste gave me an unexpected surprise, very delicious, especially the pineapple rice, which is the best pineapple rice I have eaten in Krabi and Phuket.

Finally found the door carefully. There is only a bar on the basement floor, and on the second floor, there are only fans but no air conditioning. Ordered a pineapple fried rice for 200 baht. The portion was really big and it was a chicken stir fry. There are too many carrots and the pineapple is not fragrant enough. I can only say that the large portion is good value for money. Curry squid 120 baht. The grilled squid lacked flavor and was neither fragrant nor spicy. The squid was ok but very thin. The restaurant is boat noodle so I ordered a beef noodle soup. There are three beef balls, two slices of beef shanks, and three slices of fresh beef. The beef balls were just average. The older the cattle are, the older the beef is. Very disappointed and I personally won't be going again.
