Istanbul's so-called world's best 50 restaurant—Mikla, Middle Eastern cuisine, is said to be ranked higher than Ryugin in Tokyo. I booked it with Fhr three days in advance, but when I got there, I found that I didn't need to make a reservation. The taste was average, the price-performance ratio was high, and the night view was superb, overlooking Istanbul, with the Black Sea and the Sea of ​​Marmara merging into one in the distance. ​

I think the scenery is good. The sea view in Turkey is great. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery when you sit at the table outside. It’s just that the Turkish desserts may be too sweet for me.

As for award-winning restaurants, I think it is a bit overrated, maybe I expected too much. For example, the lamb was a bit too dry and tasted like duck, not lamb. Before you start the main course, a bunch of bite-sized snacks are served. They look rich, but the taste is ordinary. I can't feel any local characteristics, and they don't stand out in the familiar flavors. I tasted two red wines made from local Turkish grapes. They were average. One was thin and the other had heavier tannins. The waiters in Istanbul speak English with a heavy accent, but they are very fluent, so it is difficult to understand. Even if you ask him again, he will not slow down. Fortunately, the scenery is very good. People who eat there are either tourists or dates or parties. It's okay to go there for the scenery, but again, if you just go to see the scenery, there is a trick to take the elevator to the top floor and then walk up the stairs to the open-air bar on the first floor. You can have a drink and take pictures.
