Holiday Inn Valdosta Conference Center

Hotel was OK. Problem with elevators that should have been told to us when we checked in. Several people at front desk, but no mention of this, although they were clearly having issues. When we returned from dinner there was an elevator repair man riding with passengers in the elevator. That kind of problem should be told to guests, we don't know if someone got stuck or what the problem was. It took a long time to for the elevator to come so we knew something wasn't right. Our room was OK. I needed another pillow and none of the ones in the closet had cases. I had to call down for one.

From the moment we walked in the front door,we were tested with respect and kindness. Lobby area was very clean and smelled good. The front desk attendant was very polite and helpful he explained how we would be charged for our stay. Explained breakfast and that it was from 6 am - 9 am. After completely our registration, the attendant took us outside walked us around showed us where our room was and where to park. The service was great the room attendants were very polite and made sure we had all we needed. Even at 9:00 pm I needed a blanket ask at front desk and a blanket was brought to me immediately. The Mexican Resturant was great as well I would stay here over and over. GREAT PLACE

Great experience. All staff was amazing and friendly. Special thanks to the lady who checked me in for my stay. Hotel was booked because of game and family visitation weekend, but she made my room request work. Breakfast was great. I will return. The hotel was quiet, bed was very comfortable, and it was clean. I recommend the hotel and will stay again. Just 2 cons: First con: internet was not good, but I used my phone as a hotspot, so problem solved. Second con: no housekeeping service. I know hotels cut back on housekeeping service when Covid occurred and also environmental factors. However, I was there 3 nights and had to track down my towels. I did speak with the front desk and they put the request in and I watched her write my room number down for housekeeping service. She did everything right, so the problem needs to go to the housekeeping manager. I think one night of housekeeping was sufficient for my stay and I didn’t get it. I still left a $20 tip because the room would be cleaned on my departure, but I wasn’t happy about it.
River Street Inn

Wow, how to begin. The hotel and rooms are quite beautiful and the never ending view along the river with the almost constant movement of gigantic ships, is mesmerized. The location is also perfect with enough restaurants and shops within close proximity that you can find plenty to keep occupied even on the occasional rainy day. Now, with all that said, a caveat to any travelers wanting any semblance of rest. The second floor rooms are pure nightmare. There appears to be some sort of a supply room on that floor. The staff likes to use it for rather loud gossip and partying and when not in use by the staff, there apparently is a bowling league practice in there! The noise from tables and chairs and dishes being moved around at times even late into the night is just aggregating! The walls offer absolutely NO help in reducing the racket. Would we return to River Street Inn again? YES! As a matter of fact, we can't wait to return but, only if we would be guaranteed a room on the 4th or 5th floor!

I am a Marriott Platinum Elite member and have been loyal to Marriott for 7 years. I’ve stayed at Marriott chains all over the country & this location has the worst customer service & staff by FAR. First of all the security for the hotel attempted to hit on me during our first interaction but I kindly turned him down bc I am married. Very unprofessional when you’re at work! Secondly upon checking in the room, there were stains on the curtains, couch and a cigarette burn hole on the bar stool. No seats for the balcony or any privacy on the balcony. The kitchen could’ve been cleaner & the sheets on the bed were not the correct size, there was a mattress cover but no fitted sheet. We didn’t even complain! The real issue came when we were woken up at 8:30am by security BANGING on the door like the Swat team. He literally woke me and my daughter up and was at the door telling my husband that we were smoking and that he could smell it and that we needed to leave the property and would be charged a $500 fine! I immediately told him that we were not smoking and that we smell smoke too and my husband had an incense burning to block the smoke smell from getting to my daughter. We are not tattle tells so we did not care to call downstairs to make it an issue, it was easier to light the incense. We literally travel with these incense bc sometimes there are pet or smoke smells at some of these hotels. The security guard seemed to not care about what I was telling him so I told him not to come back to my room without a manager. He came back twice WITHOUT the manager, said the manager was unavailable and brought a luggage cart telling us we needed to leave or he was going to call the police! I told him to call them bc I was not leaving without a refund. He kept lying to his manager on the phone saying that we were refusing to leave but not telling him what I was saying which was COME BACK WITH YOUR MANAGER. The security guy was extremely rude & aggressive and needs to be FIRED. The manager FINALLY came up to the room 20 min later smh and when he did I offered him to come inside and smell or take a look bc we had nothing to hide. He said he could smell smoke but not tell what it was and I informed him we had an incense burning. He asked us to put it out and said that we couldn’t burn incense or light candles at this hotel. That was my first time hearing a no incense or candle burning policy from Marriott. He told us we were fine and to enjoy the rest of our stay without even addressing the rude behavior from security. I told him we would be checking out immediately and calling Marriott customer service for a full refund for being woken up and harassed. I called customer service as I was checking out to file a complaint and ask for assistance with getting a refund. Well here it is a week later and the hotel STILL hasn’t given me a refund or returned my deposit! Customer service team said the manager said he would not be returning my funds so I’ve escalated it to

The hotel is good, but I really want to comment on Ctrip here. Most of the US trips about this month were booked in Ctrip, and there are quite a few real problems, but it is more worth mentioning that Ctrip's services. 1) It is easy to make a call. No matter when, the call will be answered manually, instead of fooling you like a lot of customer service machines. 2) In Ctrip booking hotels, air tickets and other layers of protection, there will be problems Ctrip will solve, do not have to go and negotiate with those who speak English. People in different countries will encounter various problems, but as long as they are in Ctrip, it is good to call them. Although the ordered products will have unexpected problems, such as this time actually booked a hotel that is not open, but Ctrip has actively changed to a better hotel. Although it has caused inconvenience to myself, it is understandable that I think Ctrip is so far away. 3) If personal losses are caused by the inconsistency of the information on the website, Ctrip will pay the indemnity and will arrive soon. Ctrip's quality service makes our trips very safe and we don't have to worry about problems. Suddenly I found that many companies in China have done much better than the United States. Ctrip is cheering and supporting you.

The hotel is close to the highway but there is a great neighborhood with the MLK center and good cafes on the other side of I-75. This is within walking distance on a good day) Parking is a bit of a hassle and will add on $35-55/day unless you plan out a place to keep your vehicle on the street. Rooms were clean and, coming from aomeone who is sensitive to noise, the sound of the highway thankfully isn’t as bad as some reviews claim. The hotel’s staff and management are kind and professional, the gym is great, and there are many nice spots on each floor to sit and relax. I would recommend booking at the rate we saw on Trip.com (cheaper than other sites offered)
SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown/Historic District

The hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality.

Stayed here in late August. The hotel is fine. It could use a little updating; but, the room was clean and comfortable, the location is great and convenient to spots in and out of the city, the I didn't have any issues with noise or anything else that others have mentioned. The only issue was parking which as others have noted is $6 a night even though (1) it's unusual for a Courtyard that's not in an urban/downtown area to charge for parking and (2) it's unnecessary given how large the parking area is at the hotel. When I checked in, I specifically told the front desk clerk that I was not parking a vehicle, yet the charge still appeared on my final bill. The hotel removed the charge, though there was a little harrumphing about it. Otherwise, everything about the hotel was fine, and it's a bit better than other reviewers have mentioned.

Location is great because has a public parking lot right across. Check the map at lobby before you start walking or can end up walking unnecessary miles. Love the Breakfast and price was reasonable. Room was very clean and beds are super comfortable.
