Wonderful 2 nights stay at the DelaSea hotel. What I enjoyed most was the staff as they were all so caring and helpful. Highly professional. From the reception with Hoa taking special care of me not to mention ”Alice” and the others. Same at the restaurant. From the manager to the supervisors to the staff. I can't name them all here but they made my stay very special. Food was really good. Staff attention was ”phenomenal”. The room was great (I got one on the top floors facing the bay) and despite being a very noise sensitive person I slept very well. No loud music noise (it was on a weekend early November). The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was not noisy though very efficient. Good shower. I did not use the swimming pool but it looked great. By the way I was told that taking photos from the bay at sunset from the swimming pool is ”the thing to do” :)
I can only praise the staff and the management for the wonderful hospitality even when super busy with big groups (which was the case during my stay).
Based on my personal experience I definitely highly recommend the DelaSea hotel and it will be my choice next time I am in Ha Long.

The staff were friendly and professional. It was located on a main road but away from Ha Long centre/ Marina which gave us the best of both worlds i.e. tourist hotspots and local hotspots. The breakfast buffet was splendid; too many choices so we were not able to try all of them despite being there for four breakfasts. The Infinity swimming pool and bar was a dream; had it all to ourselves because no one was up there swimming around early afternoon. The beach was a 15 minutes walk away and the main touristy beach was under five minutes motorbike ride.
First of all, the facilities are good for the low price. There is a market and a Vietnam/China border immigration office nearby. The staff were very friendly and nice, but the massage shop on the 6th floor seems to be not so good.
Although the hotel was fully booked on the weekend, the staff were friendly and the environment was pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful, and dinner was reasonably priced and delicious. We had to pay an extra 50,000 Vietnamese Dong for a bottle of water. There's a convenience store downstairs, so we could buy some ourselves. We'll definitely come back next time.
the hotel is located near to the international border crossing, walking distance. there is also a vincom plaza next to the hotel. this is very convenient for shopping and meals. there are many eateries around too. the buffet breakfast is quite a spread, very delicious. the weasel coffee is the highlight, chocolaty and rich. it's not as caffeinated as normal coffee. the staff are friendly and helpful, i left my wooden fan in the room and they helped to retrieve it. the environment is pleasing and comfortable. too bad the swimming pool was closed for maintenance because of a storm, quite a nice pool.
The view from the room was amazing, and check-in was earlier than 14:00, but we were able to move it up to 12:00, which was great.
There is a cafe on the first floor, where you can get ice cream and other things that are perfect for when it's hot.
Check-out was also changed from 11:00 to 12:00, which was great.
Motorbikes can be rented cheaply, and since it's not as crowded as Hanoi, even Japanese people can drive. But you do so at your own risk.
Unfortunately, we couldn't check in earlier; the room wasn't ready until shortly after 2 p.m.
A very nice apartment, large and clean, with everything you need. The beach is unfortunately still empty and unserviced, but it's a great location if you want to start a cruise from here.
The view of the sea and the city is just as beautiful as the rooftop bar that's part of the building.

I came on a business trip, and it was so nice that it was a quiet villa rather than a complicated hotel.
If you book Royal Halong next time, I would definitely recommend the villa.
However, it was a little disappointing that I couldn't see out the window because it was on the first floor, and I couldn't easily open the window.
But everything else is satisfactory.

Check-in at the Radisson was quick and smooth. The hotel is large and modern with a beautiful lobby. The room was modern and nicely decorated. The outdoor pool was unfortunately very cold as it was not heated, but the indoor pool was pleasantly warm. One downside was that there was no staff at the bar, and no one came by to ask if we wanted drinks or food – although this may have been due to the off-season. On the positive side, they kindly allowed me a fresh-up after check-out, which I greatly appreciated.

Commend:
Attentive to details (i.e.
--very spacious bed, bigger than king and very comfortable.
-- room and toilet were clean
-- automated controls and toilet bowl. Able to warm up toilet seat.
-- nice and classy design
-- staff were helpful and nice
-- breakfast spread nice
-- Vietnam massage was better compared to outside the streets
-- room service food was nice and very presentable
-- complimentary fruits platter due to some noise disruption
-- centralised location, very cosy accommodation. Enjoyed the clubbing music from the nearby beach club every night.
Improvements
- I personally prefer disposable hotel like bathroom slippers instead of the slippers they provided.
- no cotton pads. Cotton buds are provided.

Great
DdjbAbove anything else, we must mention how incredible Miss Julie was on the cruise. She was so helpful and friendly and was so kind to our daughter, she made all the difference on the cruise. We scored it higher because of the outstanding level of service she gave. All the cruise team, from the tender pilot to the waiting staff, cleaning team and cooks were all making their best effort. It was an inexperienced team on a new cruise, but the smiles and friendliness outweighed everything else.
Overall the cruise was good, but the poor organisation and information let it down a bit.
The first day everything was good. Alex the cruise manager met us at off the tender, gave an introduction and a schedule for the first day, kayaking, visits to a cave and a really nice dinner on deck. The music had are very good too.
For the second day, the entire day was spent on a different boat so that the cruise ship could return to port and drop off those only staying for one night. The day was actually great fun, kayaking, visiting caves and a secluded beach. You miss out on all this if you only stay one night.
When we returned to the ship in the afternoon a new large tour group boarded and from that point forward the other passengers were pretty much forgotten about. Alex was nowhere to be seen and nobody shared any information about the schedule from that point forward, which meant we didn’t know about the afternoon tea on deck nor the Vietnamese cooling lessons, although we did manage to catch the end of it.
Then in the evening, the tour group started a big party, with lots of drinking and really bad Karaoke at full volume that carried on until nearly midnight, echoing round the whole ship. They were only enjoying themselves, but not great for young kids sleeping, especially since each day starts at 06:30 sharp. Even less great when you arrive at breakfast and check out time has been moved to 9 am instead of 11am.
The other thing to note is that the ship itself is not new like many reviews have stated, but an old vessel that’s been refurbished with mixed results, with parts still not finished and its age still showing in places. (They were still welding deck parts whilst we were sailing.)
I am sure that as the management team get more experienced and organised, things will run much more smoothly, but given that this is billed as a luxury cruise and matching price tag, it needs to improve to be good value.
RRoyalcityA fantastic hotel nestled in the mountains. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one truly stands out as unique and memorable.
Its secluded mountain location meant there was nothing else nearby, but it was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The rooms, constructed from wood and metal, were particularly striking. While their dimness made them feel a little eerie at times, I really appreciated its nature-friendly concept and the overall 'healing stay' vibe.
The only major hiccup was a sudden power outage, which was genuinely quite frightening.
And the food was great too!
TThe Sean FamilyThe cruise is very nice and clean. The room is spacious and has very nice view. The service is good. They have activities for guests to enjoy like kayaking, cooking class, and dark and bright cave visit. The food provided is somehow decent for me comparing to the price I paid. For 2 days 1 night, they provided a buffet lunch, a set menu dinner and light breakfast and brunch on Day 2. But overall, it was a good experience.

GGuest UserWe stayed for 3 nights and really loved this place. Staff members were extremely kind and helpful. Food was great in both the breakfast hall and the Italian restaurant. However, there are a few things we want to point out. First of all, the indoor swimming pool water was really filthy. That really needs to be improved. Furthermore, the sauna and steam room area was not properly attended to. Towels were piled and hair was everywhere on the floor in sauna area. The Jacuzzi water was not hot enough. Also the steam room and dry sauna were not hot enough. In addtion, the balcony in our room was terribly dirty. We tried to clean it ourselves but gave up because it was not possible to clean them with just tissue paper. Staff did however send someone to wash the balcony table, chairs, floors and rails and we are grateful for that. Despite some drawbacks, we really enjoyed out stay. Overall this is a really lovely hotel and as already stated, the staff are wonderful.
YYee11I recently had the pleasure of sailing through Ha Long Bay with Dora Cruise as Doria Cruise not able to complete it time, but the company helped to transferred and provide some discount and it was an unforgettable experience!
The Dora cruise ship was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. They transferred us to the Executive Suite, with its spacious luxury and stunning views of the emerald waters.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They beautifully decorating our suite with flowers for my birthday, making it feel like a real celebration.
And if that wasn't enough, they even surprised me by also presented me with a delicious birthday cake during dinner, complete with candles and singing! It was such a lovely touch and made my birthday truly special.
The food was delicious and varied, with plenty of options for all dietary needs. The itinerary was well-planned, with a good balance of activities (kayaking, swimming, visiting caves) and relaxation time. Ha Long Bay's breathtaking scenery left us in awe.
Overall, I highly recommend Dora Cruise for an exceptional Ha Long Bay experience! Their attention to detail, kindness, and commitment to making every guest feel special are truly exceptional.
JJ. W. (Trip.com)Overall, I found this experience underwhelming. There were only a few activities, and two of the three were scheduled early in the morning (before 9 a.m.), which made them effectively unavailable for anyone who isn’t an early riser. The remaining activities were brief and not particularly engaging — it felt more like a dining cruise than a full excursion. From that perspective, the experience fell short of expectations.
The service also left room for improvement. The wait staff didn’t seem properly trained — for example, they struggled with something as simple as pouring a beer. The food prioritized quantity over quality, and I was surprised to see that different tables were served different dishes without ever being given menus or options. It seemed that choices were made for us based solely on allergies or dietary restrictions.
The cruise itself was stationary for much of the time, and the 50-minute tender ride each way made the journey feel unnecessarily long. When I tried to relax on the balcony, local vendors repeatedly approached the boat in small craft to sell items, which disrupted the atmosphere.
All in all, the experience did not feel worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

AAlinaBeautiful ship, excellent service, good food (lunch-buffet, dinner-menu), drinks are paid extra. On the common deck there are many places with tables and sun loungers. Each cabin has its own balcony, panoramic windows. Activities include kayaking and a morning trip to the cave
